I found a box with a hinged lid, placed some green grass, snakes, and frogs. I grabbed a large foam dice, a metal tray, and some tongs just to add more fine motor skills to this activity. I bought the frogs and snakes at Dollar Tree but you can order them online as well. The black tongs actually came from a catered party that my mom attended!

You can explain how the game works by showing your child how to roll the dice onto the tray or other hard surface. Then use the tongs to grab that many frogs or snakes out of the grass. It’s up to you to keep adding to your collection of frogs and snakes or putting them back each turn.

To make this a two player game one player could go for the frogs and the other go for the snakes as long as you have the same amount of frogs and snakes.

If you own a color dice then you could roll both color dice and number dice to make the game a little more challenging.
