We do not go to Mote Park very often and I am not really sure why. It offers a lot of things to play on for all of my children. The main play structure at Mote Park consists of a set of stairs, 3 slides and two rock wall climbing areas.
The swings and Merry-Go-Round at Mote Park are located right next to each other in the mulched playground area. Children can easily run back and forth from one play structure to another with ease.
This plastic climbing toy at Mote Park allows children to climb on the inside and outside stretching their legs as far as they can to scoot to the next pole.
This is the only picnic shelter located at Mote Park but it offers 4 picnic tables, bench, power outlets, grill and a water fountain.
The water fountain at Mote Park was just put in a month or so ago and features a dog fountain as well!
I am not sure when the tennis court was updated to a Pickleball Court but that’s what is available at Mote Park.
The lower baseball diamond at Mote Park is very busy most nights during baseball season with local business teams running the bases.
This play structure offers 4 climbing poles for children to climb with handles to allow children to stand near the top!
This is a picture taken by Princess of the baby swings at Mote Park. Right behind it is a bench swing which can be used as a resting place for parents or caregivers.
The Community Building at Mote Park houses bathrooms, a kitchen, a front room and a larger space that contains a stage.
During the Winter the large hill in front of the community building is a great place to go sledding! We park at the bottom and then sled down the hill and pack up once we are ready to go home.
Pros of Mote Park-
- Lots of equipment for all ages to play.
- Good amount of benches and swings for adults.
Cons of Mote Park-
- Bathrooms in the community building are not always open.
- Play equipment is mostly in the sun.
Mote Park is located at South and Gordon Streets with parking near the lower baseball diamond on College St, the parking lot off Gordon St or Garnsey St, and on street parking on Summit St. or Leonard St.
