May’s Kindergarten Blog Hop is here! This month our theme is Flowers. It’s been a crazy couple of weeks at our house so I decided to throw together a post for free resources for parts of the flower. You can use these free resources for any age preschool to older elementary. If your child is flower crazy like mine then you will want to make your own DIY Flower Press!
I printed off a 3 page worksheet that turns into a book about the parts of a flower for Big Red to color, read, and cut out. I found this free printable book from Worksheet place.
I printed a simple flower paper for Lil’ Red to Color. This flower coloring page came from Homeschool Clipart. I quickly pulled a dandelion out of the yard for some inspiration for the boys to look at while working on their papers. We do not do a lot of paper work so this was fun after the initial “I don’t want to do school work right now…What It’s blog work ugh” attitude wore off. Once Big Red realized he could cut out the book he was much happier. I told him he could make it for his grandmother’s birthday present.

Great resource! Thanks for sharing~~ | I remember very clearly walking with my fifth-grader while he picked a flower from our apartment’s front-office flowerbed for just such an assignment {for Switched-on-Schoolhouse school-in-a-box pc-program} way back in our first year of home-ed, many years ago~ He graduated last summer! Have fun making those memories!! 🙂 *I will definitely be back for some of your resources for older students for my second-grader soon, LW!~
