Lil’ Red is my sensory loving guy and gets excited as soon as he sees me putting together and activity that involves tongs! This morning I grabbed a handful of Star Wars characters and my “famous brown crinkle paper” and set up a Star Wars Sensory Bin.
He sat right down and began to dig in the K-Nex box with his black tongs looking for the Star Wars characters I had just hidden. He loved using the tongs to dig and grab each character!
If the tongs did not provide the results that we wanted he just used his hand to fish out a Star Wars character and place it into the tongs, lol.
When he was almost finished but couldn’t find the last guy he decided to get on the table and really dig in to be sure he wasn’t missing one of the Star Wars figures. He didn’t realize he had dropped one on the floor so he was baffled for a few seconds as to where he had gone!
I left Lil’ Red and Big Red alone for a few minutes and when I came back I found this!
Two Chewbaccca’s had been put into a Parmesan cheese container along with the porcupine balls that were already inside! Silly boy. He was so proud of himself for doing something mommy had not expected.
