I cannot believe another month has went by already but here we are in the middle of December already. This month I am not even worrying about income earned besides keeping track of it in a spreadsheet so that I know who is paying me and when I am to expect payment.

I first heard of income reports about a year ago. I have been toying with the idea of sharing what I am making as a blogger but my income hasn’t been much. It’s still far from what we hope to be making each month but since my husband resigned from his job in August we have been focused on my blog income.
It has been a dream of mine to be a WAHF (work at home family) but I was thinking sometime like Summer 2016 not Fall 2015 but that’s okay. Sometimes you just have to roll with what life tosses your way!
Now on to the nitty gritty details of my income! Still amazed that I am actually writing this post. I feel it’s a great time to share the ways to make income plus it will help ease the pain of tax time.

I didn’t always consider myself a Work at Home Mom but I do now that we depend on my income and the opportunities that blogging and blog coaching affords our family. It is far from glamorous and I do put in a lot of time and hours but the schedule is flexible and varied. With that being said what are gift ideas for work at home moms? Just because we are home more doesn’t mean we don’t need or want things, lol.
I know that it’s hard to come up with things unless I start putting in my Amazon Wishlist throughout the year so I poled some fellow WAHM’s to find out things they would give for gift ideas if they could only pick 3 things.
I would love a Large Dry Erase Wall Calendar for the wall behind my desk which then means I have to be sure to buy enough dry erase markers and dry erase eraser in my favorite colors to keep my planning all organized! On my desk I usually have some sort of desk blotter calendar or simple AT-A-GLANCE Yearly Calendar which helps me keep track of impromptu homeschool events and deadlines.
Being off the computer and learning is important so reading a good book like Balanced: Finding Center as a Work-at-Home Mom would be a nice gift to consider.
Every beverage drinking mom needs a good mug or tumbler to drink her favorite beverage in. It doesn’t have to be old and ugly so why not pick up something cute with a little inspirational quote on it?
If your office space is located away from the kitchen then a Coffee Mug Warmer is a great item to have. I actually own two and use one for candles and the other for keeping beverages warm. I have found that working on the PC has some draw backs like wrist and arm pain. A vertical mouse helps relief some of the strain from a lot of right clicking as does a mouse pad with wrist support.
My favorite pens to write with while brainstorming are R.S.V.P. Ballpoint Pens! I was first introduced to them about a decade ago during a MOPS meeting where every mom received a pen that had a scripture added into the barrel. I have been using R.S.V.P pens ever since!
Since I am a blog coach and social media manager I need tools that deal with graphic design like PicMonkey for photo editing and ways to schedule social shares like Buffer and Hootsuite.
I love using my noise canceling headphones to listen to music or podcasts while I work. If you need to make phones calls then a pair of earbuds with Built-in Microphone would do the trick.

Our city has been developing and paving on the bike path for the last decade I believe. Honestly we have never walked or rode the entire loop but Eldest and Princess went on a short ride to Lock Nine and back. They rode together and had a cell phone in case of an emergency while on the bike path.
We do not suggestion children under the age of 12 ride without adults and definitely NOT without a buddy! Since they were familiar with the area and how to get to the bike path and back home I felt comfortable allowing them to go by themselves. I would love to ride as a family but we are still getting enough bikes in the correct sizes for everyone. Big Red and Lil’ Red do not ride without training wheels. Our goal this Summer is to help teach Big Red how to ride without training wheels so we can enjoy the bike path as a family!

Since I have four children and I agree to plan their birthdays from 1-10 that means I will have planned 40 children’s birthday parties by the time I have planned them all! Since I haven’t been blogging the entire time I was a parent I will have to scour through our photo archives in hopes that I can find pictures of most of the to share.
