As we come to the close of blog topics I’m ending with my very favorite format for blog posts: reviews. These are hands down one of my biggest traffic referrers and over the years have served me exceptionally well. Reviews also offer something that some don’t think about – the opportunity to build a relationship with someone.

When you do a review I suggest you review something that is connected to a company, person, organization, etc. whenever you have the opportunity. Here are 10 review styled topics/titles to help inspire your next blog post.

Frequently Asked Questions (or FAQs) are super fun and can be a crowd pleaser. I find that the boring and drab version of Q& A can be quite dull but you can totally use this format and jazz it up. For example, if you want to share some interesting facts about social media, you could use a FAQs post.

A word of caution about FAQ posts: if you use these or plan on implementing them, it’s a good idea to make them colorful, fun, easy to read and interesting…. did you catch that last part?

Yes, above all, make your FAQ post interesting. The way you make it interesting is you offer facts on a topic that would be interesting to your audience. For example, if you are a baker you might want to offer a FAQ post on US vs. Metric measuring implements and answer some common questions people face when they use US or Non-US recipes when baking. Open-ended questions are probably one of the best ways to connect with your audience and grow your engagement. Why? Because it takes the focus off of you and turns it around onto your reader. No matter what you blog about, offering up a tutorial or an informational/how-to post is a great way to show off your skills, engage your audience and encourage your visitors to come back for more. Don’t try to dazzle your audience with things you don’t know, just tell them what you know and how to do it. I guarantee they will appreciate your candor and the tutorial. Cheat sheets and charts are in the same area as resources and reference material in that they are a way to continuously drive traffic to your blog well after the initial posting. For example, I particularly love sites that offer charts on practical things like crochet hook sizes, basic HTML code, or the different tensile strength of various wires for beading/jewelry.

Some bloggers offer these in the form of posts where visitors can come and simply use the content directly from the page and some blogger offer it in a format where you can print it out and take it with you such as a PDF. Whatever you decide to do or however you offer it, these types of posts will surely attract visitors for a long time to come.
