Big Red Barn Tutorial

Big Red Barn Tutorial

Big Red Barn Tutorial
Lil’ Red was obsessed with this book so much that we were reading it 2 or 3 times a day! I decided we needed a Big Red Barn that he could play with. I had been saving Huggies wipes containers and happen to have a red one! I looked at the book cover as my guide and got to crafting a homemade Big Rad Barn!

Here’s a quick tutorial on how to make a Big Red Barn:

Big Red Barn Supplies

Supplies:
wipes tub or hinged box
cardboard or cereal box
toddler cereal container- for the hay loft or for a silo
felt-brown, yellow, green, blue
TOOB of Farm Animals– we bought baby farm animals and farm animals toobs
Small tractor and Farmer
Ruler, Scissors, Duct Tape

1. Open up your cereal box and lay over the top of your wipes tub to create a roof. You can add the plastic toddler cereal container first if you’d like.

2. Trim the cereal box down to the size that looks good to you. Take your duct tape and cover the outside of the cereal box to create the metal roof.

3.Tape the plastic cereal tube on top of the wipes tub. Then tape the roof in place.

4. Take sharp scissors and cut out felt mud for pigs, pond for ducks, grass for pasture, etc.

5. Place all items into your Big Red Barn. Show your farm enthusiast and have lots of fun playing and reading Big Red Barn!
