Simple Valentine’s Day Party Game Ideas

January 28, 2018 By Thaleia Leave a Comment

Are you looking for a few simple Valentine’s Day Party games for younger children? I love to create party game ideas that are fun and a little educational as well. My youngest is 4 years old and is looking forward to our homeschool groups Valentine’s Day party. Since we will be participating in the event we were also asked to provide an activity or party game.

Heart Shaped Fine Motor Party Game

Heart Shaped Fine Motor Party Game

For this first party game you will need a few simple supplies:

tray or flat cookie sheet

tweezers, tongs or spoon

heart-shaped containers

Welch’s fruit snacks

Place the tray on the table and lay the heart-shaped containers on the tray. Open up 3-5 bags of fruit snacks and empty into one of the heart-shaped containers. Allow children to take turns trying to transfer the fruit snacks from one heart to another. If you have older children you can use a timer to make it more challenging.

Plastic Egg Educational Activities for Kids

March 24, 2017 By Thaleia 3 Comments

Since Easter will soon be upon us it’s a great time to think about what to do with all those plastic eggs? It amazes me how many are on the store shelves each year to be bought when I know millions were sold last year! Where did they all go? I bet many landed in the trash can after Easter weekend:( I own quite a few sizes of plastic eggs but I bought them on clearance 3-5 years ago. We re-use our plastic eggs year round for fun activities from Math to Science to Scavenger Hunts.

Maybe you are fresh out of ideas for some educational activities for kids. I have gathered up some great things to do with plastic eggs long after Easter weekend that will keep kids entertained all year long.

Fish Themed Activities for Kids

August 3, 2016 By Thaleia 1 Comment

Are you looking for some fish themed activities for kids? Maybe you are reading some fish themed books or planning a trip to see some fish! We do not live near a beach, lake, or ocean although we do live a few blocks for a river. We do not get to interact with fish very often. We have visited the Newport Aquarium but we have not taken our children fishing since we have had four of them!

Fish Themed Activities for Kids

Does your child learn best by doing hands-on activities? Maybe your child enjoys arts and crafts. Maybe a science experiment or STEM activity is more your child’s learning style! If your child likes to learn about fish then give them some of these incredible fish themed activities to try.

Check out these Fish Themed Activities for Kids! #KBNmoms #STEAM #STEM
