Boost Your Blog in 100 Days- Comments Day 6

February 20, 2014 By Thaleia 9 Comments

Welcome to Boost Your Blog in 100 Days! I’m so excited you have chosen to take this journey with me and my dear challenge hostesses! I hope to get to meet you a little bit along the way via facebook, twitter, pinterest, and your blogs. My goal for this 100 days is to spruce up our blogs together and kick our usage and understanding of Social Media into high gear.

Busy first 5 days, right? Finding some really awesome blogs? I hope you’ve been able to connect with some new faces and get to know someone in a similar niche to yours. Did you intend to create your blog for a specific niche from the get go OR did you just write and your niche just came to be? So glad you are still with us!

#BB100 day 6

Today’s Boost Your Blog challenge is to comment on 10 different blogs. Read a blog post that sounds interesting to you and provide a thoughtful comment of 2-4 sentences if possible. I will be providing you with 10 blogs each day during this challenge to comment on. You may also wish to follow some bloggers on their other social media platforms as well, but this is not required during the first 10 day challenge.

Commenting on other’s blogs will provide you will back-links to your blog. Creating these links to your blog will help with SEO by lowering your Alexa rating and possibly boosting where your blog lands on SERP. Thoughtful comments may peak readers interests from those blogs or from the blog author’s themselves thus getting traffic and comments in return.

Remember to leave a quality comment for each of the 10 bloggers. I did my best to try to bring quality blogs that welcome comments and the chance to meet other bloggers during this 100 day challenge.

Having just become serious about blogging last month, I am still defining my niche. I have an idea of where I might go. But I have an idea it will also evolve as I learn more and become more involved in the blogging world. I am enjoying the challenge.

I knew I wanted to be in the crafting niche. And I still am to a degree. I have had to do filler posts though. I’m hoping to get more organized and focus more on the crafting again.

It’s taken me years to try to define my niche in blogging. I still am a bit eclectic and that fits my personality. I hope you find a good groove soon 🙂

Thanks so much for the feature! I can’t wait to catch up on commenting. I definitely didn’t start out with a niche (except for Cleveland, I guess), and I don’t really think I have that much of a niche even a year later. I have too many interests to keep my blog focused on one idea. I like to think I’ve tied all my interests together pretty nicely, though 🙂

Finally caught up with commenting! I have found some great new blogs. I had a specific area of blogging in mind when I have created my blog, although some of my sub-topics have been neglected lately.

Yesterday’s blogs were so awesome. I loved them all. I may be an ‘unofficial’ member of this blog challenge, but I’m lovin’ it. I’ve participated every single day so far.
