Boost Your Blog in 100 Days- Comments Day 9

February 23, 2014 By Thaleia 4 Comments

Welcome to Boost Your Blog in 100 Days! I’m so excited you have chosen to take this journey with me and my dear challenge hostesses! I hope to get to meet you a little bit along the way via facebook, twitter, pinterest, and your blogs. My goal for this 100 days is to spruce up our blogs together and kick our usage and understanding of Social Media into high gear.

One more day! One more day! Say it with me will you! One more day! Can you believe you have already made it through 8 days of commenting? Not as hard as your thought, right? Keep up the good work and you are sure to be rewarded. What’s the hardest thing you’ve found about blogging? I think finding the time to blog is hard with four children ages 6 months to 11 years and homeschooling.

#BB100 day 9

Today’s Boost Your Blog challenge is to comment on 10 different blogs. Read a blog post that sounds interesting to you and provide a thoughtful comment of 2-4 sentences if possible. I will be providing you with 10 blogs each day during this challenge to comment on. You may also wish to follow some bloggers on their other social media platforms as well, but this is not required during the first 10 day challenge.

Commenting on other’s blogs will provide you will back-links to your blog. Creating these links to your blog will help with SEO by lowering your Alexa rating and possibly boosting where your blog lands on SERP. Thoughtful comments may peak readers interests from those blogs or from the blog author’s themselves thus getting traffic and comments in return.

Remember to leave a quality comment for each of the 10 bloggers. I did my best to try to bring quality blogs that welcome comments and the chance to meet other bloggers during this 100 day challenge.

I love how this challenge has introduced me to so many new blogs! I’ve enjoyed reading others’ thoughts, although it takes me a while to read and comment on each blog.

One of my biggest challenges is time – between homeschooling the 5 small people and taking them to their extracurricular activities, it’s hard to dedicate time just for blogging and the related social media to build my blog.

I am still very new and learning the ropes. For me time is definitely an issue since I am still homeschooling 3 of my six children. One of the most confusing things to me is social media. I have a love/hate relationship with Facebook – love the media/hate the privacy violations. It seems to be successful at blogging you have to be actively involved in several social media outlets – which is the opposite of who I am. I am venturing out. We will see what happens.

Hardest thing for me is definitely the time! I have so much material in my head to write about, but I think only 1/4 of it gets into the blog at this point!! You should see the posts I’ve created in my head though….they’re simply genius! lol

    Kay,
I create draft posts for all the awesome ideas that way I do not forget! I keep over 150 at all times ready for me to tinker with. Sometimes I need words and sometimes I need pics.
