All The Many Ways We Play

All The Many Ways We Play

What do you do to keep your kids active when the weather turns cold and yucky? Do you bundle them up and send them out? Do you go out and play with them? Do you buy things throughout the year on clearance just waiting for the right moment to bring them out?

I hope you said YES to all of these questions. We try to get outside and play often as a family throughout the entire year. Sometimes it is a little challenging with an infant or toddler but we still manage to enjoy some outdoor time all year long! Here’s some things that we do to give you suggestions via pictures:

Go on a Fall Nature Hike

Fall Nature Hike

Chalk- head outside with some chalk to create a new work of art.

Bocce Day or Night -have you played Bocce with your children?

Corn Hole- playing with Daddy and Uncle make it that much more fun!

Croquet- I just bought a set for $5 at a garage sale. Nice and old with a history behind the set. SO much better than a brand new set!

The purpose of the GO OUTside and PLAY! Blog Hop is to encourage folks to get outside and play regardless of the weather. My hope is to create a resource for folks who need some extra motivation to get out – so games, activities, outdoor areas… anything you want to showcase/share to help inspire folks to get outside and play!

Fall is such a fun time for outside play! It’s not too hot and it’s not yet as chilly as winter. I like your ideas, especially the simple fall nature walk – that’s my favorite one to do!

Great illustrations and links to the different posts. I’ve never come across “Bocce!”

    Juliet,
I’ve heard of bocce for many years and then when it was on the video game, Sports Champian, and we learned the rules we were hooked. Our local Walmart had a set on clearance in a nice case so we bought it.

Yes, we do and we only blog about a tiny bit of it! I should do a post about my kids version of parkour!
