Historical Costumes for Kids

August 30, 2016 By Thaleia Leave a Comment

Homeschool families can take advantage of the great options for historical costumes all year long. During the Fall is the best time to buy them at  “end-of-season” sales but it’s always good to see what might be of interest to your child early on. We love buying costumes after Halloween at 75%-90% off for dress-up all year long.

Great Historical Costumes for kids

Last year Princess got a Renaissance Queen Costume so that she could wear it to the Ohio Renaissance Festival which we did not make it to then but plan on going to this year for the first time!

These Historical Costumes for kids would be a great addition to any History or Unit Study. If you are studying Ancient History through a curriculum like Mystery of History then you might want an Egyptian or Roman costume. If you are learning about American History via Prairie Primer or the ABC’s of American History then a Pioneer costume might be better suited.

Do you have a child interested in Speech or Drama then a historical costume might just be the addition you need for your homeschool! If your church puts on a Nativity play then you might need a costume for the girl playing Mary! Maybe you want you children to reenact a historical event for their grandparents what better way then with a costume from that time period!
