I have decided to share my process for homeschooling planning for the first time EVER! I am totally excited about Mystery of History and can’t help but share all of my research, planning, and books we own! Yes, believe it or not we already own a nice little collection of Ancient History books which go along quite nicely with Mystery of History Volume 1 Creation to Resurrection!
I am a firm believer in use what you got, check with friends and the library THEN buy if you cannot find what you are looking for. I know that library trips and overdue fines still plague many homeschool families so buying a book for a dollar or less may be much more economical. We are lucky to live in an area that homeschooling qualifies you for a teacher’s card which doesn’t come with fines!
I also buy books super cheap at garage sales, thrift stores, and homeschool used curriculum sales. It just so happens that I had been planning to use a different curriculum to study History 3-4 years ago. This lead me to search out interesting books about different time periods in History which is super awesome. I was just able to grab a stack of Ancient History books and cannot wait to share them with you BEFORE my kids get their hands on them, lol. So here goes to sharing our list of books linked to Amazon using our affiliate links for your reference.
