Quick and Easy Chicken Wrap

January 30, 2014 By Thaleia 2 Comments

Quick and Easy Chicken Wrap

I just love quick and easy chicken recipes that are also healthy for you. What’s even better is having a hubby that will make that quick and easy meal. This is very similar to McDonald’s Wraps but made at home in under 5 minutes!

Super fast, super easy and much cheaper than fast-food! Enter the Quick and Easy Chicken Wrap -hubby made!

Here’s the ingredients:

Tortilla shells- flour or whole wheat (we used Casa Mamita brand from Aldi)
Chicken – can be breaded patties or grilled strips (again from Aldi)
Shredded lettuce- we shred our own Romaine lettuce
Dressing- use your favorite recipe or store bought (Aldi is what we had)
Bacon Bits- we love our bacon bits (sorry Vegans but that’s just how we roll)

Here’s the details:

quick and eacy chicken wrap cook & cutOne chicken patty equals two wraps but I would say enough for one person. Yes, that really is our “Fine China” that we registered for at our Wedding and USE EVERYDAY! Got love the simplicity of the design but elegant. (sorry just had to add that in just in case you were wondering, lol)

Chicken Wrap step 2 sprinkle lettuce

We just so happened to have pre-shredded lettuce. I would prefer fresh out of the garden, but it is Winter after all!

Chicken wrap step 3 add chickenSimple enough step. Just add your chicken of choice. Remember it can be grilled, breaded, organic, free-range, whatever your preferred chicken or meat happens to be.

dressingWe love our Ranch Dressing but you could easily use honey mustard to give it a nice kick. Remember quick and easy is the key here BUT if you insist on making your own dressing GO FOR IT. I know it would be healthier but this is all about convenience and saving a buck or two!

bacon bitsBring on the BACON! We like to use REAL Bacon bits not that artificial red dyed bits in a jar! Our Bacon Bits MUST BE REFRIGERATED to stay fresh although they aren’t around our house long enough to go bad!

Hope you enjoyed this quirky but fun post on one way my hubby cooks for me! The kids were gone at Grandma’s so what better way to say “I love You” than with food!

This looks yummy and Charlie will actually eat Chicken Sandwiches so I think this week we will make these wraps one night for dinner. As for bacon Bites I also love them. As for the dressing I am sure Charlie and I would use Ranch but David might pick Italian or Honey Mustard as he likes to be different. Tell hubby great job on cooking for you and thank him as you deserve to rest. You stay so busy as I am sure he does as well.
