Rainy Day Activitites: Playing Jacks Indoors

May 10, 2015 By Thaleia

Isn’t an age old classic like jacks the perfect game for a rainy day? Do you remember playing jacks as a child?Have you taught any child that you know how to play? I remembered we had a large plastic set of jacks from a few years ago when we were watching an episode of Little Bear. As much as I love metal jacks they are incredibly small and very dangerous with a mouthing tot in the house. I am very glad I have a larger set although they still could pose a choking hazard with the ball so be super careful around anyone who puts objects in their mouths.

Playing Jacks indoors

Most of our house is carpeted but a small area near our front door is not which makes it perfect for playing jacks indoors! We almost had a brawl between a few siblings cause Big Red thougt Princess wasn’t letting him play. He didn’t realize he was supposed to wait till her turn was over. Then Lil’ Red got caught in the middle cause he wanted the bouncing ball. After we watched a couple of vidoes and figured out the rules then we got to play jacks and have some fun.
