Visit to the Police Department

October 6, 2016 By Thaleia Leave a Comment

We have had a visit to the police department on our field trip list for a number of years. We finally decided to go after a friend arranged for a visit due to all the recent police tragedies across our nation. One fun fact is we have known the Police Chief since I was in Middle School. He was also a chaperone at the Christian recreation facility where Riley and I met in High School!

Visit to the Police Department

Riley was in Junior Auxiliary a teen program that used to be organized by the police department. I can honestly say that I have no idea if that program still exists. I guess we should ask since Eldest and Princess are almost old enough to participate.

Visit to the Police Department

This was the boys first time at the police department and they were all very excited. Princess was with another family so she didn’t make it to this event but she edited the photos for this post as her contribution! We quickly made a homemade card that we gave to the Chief. He was so thankful for our appreciation that he put the card on the Police Department’s refrigerator.

Visit to the Police Department

The little boys eagerly climbed into the back of the Police SUV and we all saw how little room there would be if you were an adult riding in the back! We had a great time visiting with our local police department  and are proud of how our  law enforcement protect and serve our community!
