When Is the Right Time for a First Bible #PolarAdventureBible #FlyBy #ad

November 14, 2018 By Thaleia 4 Comments

Big Red, our eight year old declared that he only owns a “New Testament” Bible and needs and “Old Testament”. This kind of shocked me since we own a ton of children’s story Bibles but then I got to thinking and he is correct. He does not OWN his OWN BIBLE! Since we are listening to the Bible daily for our homeschool curriculum I didn’t even think about him wanting or needing his own text. He ran off and grabbed his dad’s Bible and started reading part of Genesis which we have been studying as part of History and Bible.

I decided right then and there that this boy is getting a Bible for Christmas if not before. I know that many churches give Bibles to children who get saved or baptized and since we are not attending a church we will give him one as his parents. We are not translation specific although we are listening to KJV or NIV via the Bible App.

I was even more excited when I received an email from Deanna at FlyBy Promotions asking me if I wanted to review AND giveaway a Bible! This updated edition of the Adventure Bible has a new polar or arctic theme. This will be great since Eldest owns the original Adventure Bible and when Big Red wants to read “his” Bible he can easily identify it.

We have watched a ton of Octonaut episodes and with this Bible’s polar theme I hope that it inspires more nature learning as well as a closer relationship with Christ. Big Red was allowed to open up the box very carefully with his own pocket knife and take a peek inside.
