Tips and Tricks for Surviving a Last Minute Trip

February 2, 2017 By Thaleia 1 Comment

This is a sponsored post for Bootler but all opinions are mine.

Even though we tout ourselves as travel bloggers we can still be thrown for a loop when we have to travel at the last minute. You see usually it take weeks of preparation with hours being poured over travel guides and local tourist attraction sites. We usually get the kids involved in choosing something fun that they would like to do. This all goes out the window with a last minute trip such as a funeral.

Foam Hearts

Heart-shaped containers, Cookie Cutters, etc.

If so, they should try to make some of these Valentine’s Day treats. Each activity is great for older elementary to make on their own or for preschoolers to make with parental guidance.

Recylced Cork Puppet Process Art

January 16, 2017 By Thaleia Leave a Comment

We don’t drink wine but have had family and friends save corks for us to save for a rainy day project. It wasn’t rainy but dreary and cold the other day which prompted me to pull out some corks and craft supplies. I set out a divided circular tray with cork, toothpicks, small craft sticks, pipe cleaners, and pom-poms to let the kids create their own recycled cork puppet.
