Free Anatomy and Human Body Resources

March 20, 2017 By Thaleia 2 Comments

My middle son, Big Red, is obsessed with the human body. It probably helps that he is a 1st grade boy who is almost 7 years old and has a younger brother who is 3 1/2. Lil’ Red is sorta potty training so lots of “body and potty” talk happens at our house. I wanted to capitalize on this with giving both Big Red and Lil’ Red some Science lessons involving Anatomy and Human body. Anatomy and Human Body Resources

This post is filled with over 30 free anatomy and human body resources for all ages. Tons of free printables, unit studies and even some videos and games!

How to Make Road Trips Memorable

March 14, 2017 By Thaleia 4 Comments

I long for a good old fashioned road trip. You know the kind where you have a final destination in mind but have not planned every detail or every moment because you want to really enjoy the trip. My husband remembers taking a few road trips with his mom and some family members from time to time growing up. He retells of seeing a sign for an unusual attraction or roadside diner and pulling off to see what adventure awaits.

How to Make Road Trips Memorable

[Tweet “How do you plan to make your future road trips more memorable?”]

I think I tend to want to rush to our destination to get the car ride over but I do long to stop at Historical Markers or see that unusual site to be had. We often get out the door much later then I plan which makes everyone rushed. Hubby and I have talked about pouring tired kids into the car so early in the morning that we have to eat breakfast on the way. This would give us time to stop a few extra times and not be bored at the ride but be excited for the journey.

I have been thinking of ways to make our road trips memorable and since I am a planner I thought of some things that I can look up before we hit the road.

Do you have fond memories of going out to recess to play or playing at a park on a bright Spring day? I do remember the simple structures that my elementary playground had. We had swings, a concrete tunnel, merry-go-round, see-saw, and a soccer field at our daily disposal. We were afforded the opportunity to climb, swing, run and spin to our hearts were content each nice weather day from Kindergarten to 6th grade!
