15 Homemade Cleaning Recipes

May 5, 2016 By Thaleia Leave a Comment

Why empty out your bank account buying harsh cleaning products that could harm your family? Check out these homemade cleaning recipes to save your wallet and your health!

15 Homemade Cleaning Recipes

I use lots of baking soda for covering puppy accidents to scrubbing tough stains in our bath tub. I even shared with my older neighbor how to get stuck food off of stainless steel pots and pans using baking soda instead of harsh cleaners!

I have been making my own orange vinegar for a few years and it smells heavenly. I use the scented vinegar in sink drains, in our toilet, and a cup thrown into our laundry to freshen up a stinky load!

This is a conversation on behalf of Macy’s Heart of Haiti program via Everywhere Agency blogger opportunity. I was provided an item for review but no monetary compensation. All opinions are my own.

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to be a Mother in a 3rd world country? Many countries around the world do not have the economic opportunities that the United States has to offer. This is where Macy’s #HeartofHaiti program makes a big difference in the lives of Mother’s in Haiti.

Star Wars Sensory Bin

April 30, 2016 By Thaleia 3 Comments

Lil’ Red is my sensory loving guy and gets excited as soon as he sees me putting together and activity that involves tongs! This morning I grabbed a handful of Star Wars characters and my “famous brown crinkle paper” and set up a Star Wars Sensory Bin.

Star Wars Sensory Bin

He sat right down and began to dig in the K-Nex box with his black tongs looking for the Star Wars characters I had just hidden. He loved using the tongs to dig and grab each character!

If the tongs did not provide the results that we wanted he just used his hand to fish out a Star Wars character and place it into the tongs, lol.

When he was almost finished but couldn’t find the last guy he decided to get on the table and really dig in to be sure he wasn’t missing one of the Star Wars figures. He didn’t realize he had dropped one on the floor so he was baffled for a few seconds as to where he had gone!

Star Wars Sensory Bin

I left Lil’ Red and Big Red alone for a few minutes and when I came back I found this!

Two Chewbaccca’s had been put into a Parmesan cheese container along with the porcupine balls that were already inside! Silly boy. He was so proud of himself for doing something mommy had not expected.
