Mote Park (Piqua, Ohio)

July 31, 2017 By Thaleia Leave a Comment

We do not go to Mote Park very often and I am not really sure why. It offers a lot of things to play on for all of my children. The main play structure at Mote Park consists of a set of stairs, 3 slides and two rock wall climbing areas.

The swings and Merry-Go-Round at Mote Park are located right next to each other in the mulched playground area. Children can easily run back and forth from one play structure to another with ease.

Robert M. Davis Park (Piqua, Ohio)

July 17, 2017 By Thaleia Leave a Comment

The play structure at Robert M. Davis Park is definitely geared towards toddlers and preschoolers. The entire play structure is lower to the ground then most parks and the steps are shorter for easier access for little ones.Play Structure at Robert M. Davis Park

This photo of the back of the play structure shows three ways to climb up onto the structure. There’s a curved set of wire bars, a chain ladder and a curved set of metal steps. All great ways for younger children to practice their gross motor skills.

Robert M. Davis Park in Piqua, Ohio is GREAT for smaller children! Read about it here—>

Best Parks, Playgrounds and Splash Pads in Miami Valley

June 27, 2017 By Thaleia Leave a Comment

One really good thing about homeschooling has been the number of families we have met over the years which has allowed us to find some very unique parks, playgrounds and splash pads to play at! You see we have been invited to several park date playgroups which may have been started by MOPS groups or CC group moms.  Since I am friends with mom’s in various groups we get invited to each park date play group every Summer which has allowed us to experience many new parks, playgrounds and splash pads in Miami Valley!

Best Parks, Playgrounds and Splash Pads in Miami Valley

This year we decided to share the park locations that we love in order for more families to discover these playgrounds, natural play areas, and splash pads for yourself. Our goal is to share a new park with you each week all Summer long. The location may be near or a little far from us but if I am willing to drive over 30 minutes then you know it’s well worth it!

What are your favorite #parks, #playgrounds and splash pads?

Today we are sharing our visit to City Park in Tipp City, Ohio! This park is a wonderful place to visit no matter what the season since there are so many places to be in the shade as well as many benches to rest.City Park Tipp City, Ohio

The first piece of equipment my children ran to get on was the Teeter Totter! My youngest son may have only seen this type of equipment one other time in his life! I love that my children can play on playground equipment like when I was a child.
