Preschool Prep: Preschool Assessment

 What is Preschool Prep?

Do you have a young child or two who has outgrown Tot School and is ready for Preschool? Have you looked at all the free online choices during your preschool preparation? Does thinking about preschool curriculum make your head spin? Well, I know that the amount of free “Letter of the Week” and “Themed” curriculum is astounding.

I am creating the Preschool Prep series to help other moms and caregivers out! I have spent lots of time researching and planning for Preschool for Lil’ Red and I want to pass on this wealth of knowledge and resources to my readers!

Kids Corner Review by: Eldest and Princess

Kids Corner Review

Kids Corner is a fun and exciting way to learn about God with lizards.  Sometimes things don’t always go well for them, and sometime things turn out for the best. They always trust on God to help them through the good times and bad times.

Eldest’s Review:

Cole
My favorite character is Cole. I like him because he’s funny. He cracks jokes all the time. The most popular joke is Liz’s nick name “Elizabeth”. I like listening to Kids Corner because I am always curious to see  what the next adventure will be.
There are all kinds of crazy adventures including time travel, peer pressure, helping others, and learning to do the right thing.

Some of Eldest’s favorite Kids Corner episodes:

Tommy Two Toad

Identified Flying Object

What’s the Big Deal

Princess’ Review:

lucille julia

My favorite character’s are Lucille and Julia because they are girls. Both show God’s love by being good friends. I like to listen to Kids Corner with my brother’s all the time. We even listen to episodes at bedtime.

Some of Princess’ favorite Kids Corner episodes:

Tryouts

Love Always

Fear Itself

ABOUT Kids Corner:

Kids Corner is produced by ReFrame Media, the English language                               ministry of Back to God Ministries International.

Geared for children age 6—12, the weekly half-hour radio program and web site teach in a contemporary way, the wisdom and the truth of God to the issues and challenges that affect a child’s life. Through audio drama and web resources, children are not only entertained, but are helped to develop an interest in the Bible and in becoming followers of Jesus.

The HomeScholar

As a homeschool parent, you know how to educate your children best. You use what you know about your students and their learning styles, and make sure to cover a wide range of academic areas. But when it comes to homeschooling high school, sometimes parents become paralyzed over how to choose courses—what are the subjects that colleges want to see on a high school transcript?  How many credits are necessary?  How do you teach upper level math when you’re not a math major?!  Here are some guidelines to help you plan your high school courses and prepare your student for successful college admittance, without changing the way you homeschool!

Free Horse Unit Study Resources

Free Horse Unit Study Resources

Just saw a post of a forum that a family was looking for resources to go along with FIAR books, The Wild Horses of Sweetbriar and The Finest Horse in Town. Both of these have to do with horses so I wanted to help out by doing a quick google search. Since I found so many wonderful and free resources I created this free horse unit study resource post to share!

Free Horse Unit Study

My daughter was very interested in horses a couple of years ago. So we did start a lapbook that we found free online as well as a 107 page Horse Unit Study from Oakes Homeschool Consulting co-op.

Unfortunately it’s no longer online so I wanted to find you a few other resources. I did a quick Google search and found Horse Publications and Resources from Ohio 4-H that are free to download.
