Valentine’s Day Fine Motor Skills

What do you do when your Tot grows up and are a little too big for Tot Trays? Continue to work on Fine Motor skills by bringing out new fun activities! My niece and Lil’ Red were very interested in doing “school” so out came some fun Valentine’s Day Fine Motor Skill activities. My sister and I were taking inventory on activities and came up with quite a few. I am only showcasing 5 Fine Motor Skills that are for Preschool and Kindergarten age.

Free Before Five in a Row Resources

Free Before Five in a Row Resources

I heard about Five In A Row and Before Five in a Row a few years ago from another homeschool mom. I know she has used FIAR for the last 2-3 years, but now has a harder time finding the free resources since Homeschool Share reorganized their website and got rid of the B4FIAR and FIAR resource page. I know other mom’s who would love to be able to find resources that are current and FREE!

Wacky Wednesday- USA State Quarters and USA Map

 Wacky Wednesday:

USA State Quarters and USA Map

wacky wednesday state quarters

What is Wacky Wednesday? Last year we created WACKY WEDNESDAY to help us get over hump day and try to remember to do something fun and unusual on Wednesdays. Not every Wednesday is Wacky Wednesday, but we try to do something a little crazy or nature-oriented.

I printed off a USA map and then the kids matched the quaters to the map. Once that was done we highlighted the states we had as we put the quarters away! This made it much easier to take a picture on our phones and when we ran into people who had quarters for us we could check to see if we still needed them. (Hint:Grandma’s have been the best resource so far. Followed by dad’s retail job:)
