We recently spend a few days in Sandusky, Ohio as part of a #LakeErieLove blog trip! We got to call the Sandusky Comfort Inn our home for 3 days! In the lobby, we were greeted with a large mermaid sculpture in front of a full wall mirror. Very pretty but hard to capture a clear picture that does the sculpture justice!
The main bedroom featured two double beds, a flat screen television, desk, mini fridge and microwave.
The second bedroom featured another two double beds but in a different configuration. This was the bed you saw walking through the doorway to the second bedroom.
Then once you turned to your right across the room was the 4th double bed. It was weird not to have any lamps next to the 4th bedroom but Princess and Eldest made it work!
You can see the main bedroom as we saw it coming into the room with the beds to the right and everything else on the left wall. Large windows made the room bright!
Every time we travel the main attraction for the kids is the swimming pool! This Comfort Inn had an indoor pool, whirlpool, sauna and outdoor pool. It was a very busy time at the hotel so the pools seemed to be filled most of the time which made taking pictures of the pools themselves impossible.
I loved the murals on the walls so I made sure to take a few pictures of them to share with you. This one is between the hotel door and the sauna door.
This mural was along the end of the pool which also had a row of comfy lounge chairs. Even though we were indoors it was a very fun and festive atmosphere around the indoor pool area!
Breakfast being included in our stay is very important to our family as well as our budget! We have stayed at a handful of locations but never with 7 full sized waffle irons and 2 mini waffle irons. They were spread out on two counters so I couldn’t even take a picture of all of them.
The hotel also offered the usually bagels and toast as well as yogurt, fresh fruit, oatmeal and cold cereal.
There were a handful of delicious hot menu items for breakfast as well which included hash browns with peppers, onions and tiny bites of sausage, sausage biscuits and gravy, cheesy potatoes and ham and either sausage patties or bacon for biscuits.
This hotel is the largest we have ever stayed in and was very long! It was also very busy which made taking pictures difficult because we did not want to include other people.
I would definitely recommend this location for anyone staying in Sandusky with a large family since you can pay for 1 room for up to 8 people!
Charlie and I said you should have put us in your suitcase as we could have stayed in the pools all day. I hope you all have a wonderful time and I will look for these Hotels here the next time we need to stay in one.
