COSI Columbus, OH

February 7, 2017 By Thaleia 1 Comment

As you walk up to COSI you are greeted with Science right off the bat! There are a variety of Dinosaur sculptures on the front right side of the building. Eldest took some pictures of the sculptures since there was quite the crowd outside with a special event.

COSI Dinosaurs

It just so happened to be Farm Days at COSI during our visit. This event is held annually on the front lawn of COSI as well as many other themed events like Big Machines or EMS & Safety Days. The last Friday of the month is Family Friday Nights  when COSI stays open and offers a discount which includes a movie.

COSI Farm Days

The current location of COSI offers wide hallways and large galleries that can hold a crowd. I personally miss the old building with it’s smaller more intimate setting because I visited many times with school and Girl Scouts!  I have fond memories of The Streets of Yesteryear, The talking Presidents, the jumbo eye, and the rate basketball area! I do enjoy sharing a part of my childhood with my children in the present day setting.

Big Red says, “I liked all the stuff that you could do in the energy gallery. It was also cool to see the rats play basketball.”

COSI Game Masters
Riley says, “I enjoyed the video game exhibit. As a life-long gamer it was really cool to go through and see a comprehensive history that talked about developers in depth. The exhibit was well thought out and a great coverage of video games that I know and love.”

COSI miscellaneous

Princess says, “I had a really great time riding the high wire bicycle. I had to wait in line for 30 minutes but it was worth it.”

I really like the variety of galleries both the permanent and the traveling exhibits which provides a great variety of educational experiences each time you visit COSI!
