February Wrap Up and March Goals

March 1, 2015 By Thaleia 5 Comments

Yikes! Another month gone already? Well, to be fair February is the shortest month of the year, lol. I feel like it went by in a very cold blur. I am already itching to get some seeds planted a HUGE garden growing! How about you are you all done with Winter? We just got another 5-7 inches of snow on top of the couple of inches we already had.

February Wrap Up and March Goals

While looking at all the things I had hoped to accomplish in February I got more blog post ideas  (like 300 draft posts isn’t enough, lol). Then spent most of an afternoon working on them-oops. Guess I better just jot them down next time and get back to marking more things off my goals list.

We got a bunch of snow in February but were only able to attempt sledding once! It was too bitterly cold all the other times. We went during the fluffy snow storm and did not last very long. Lil’ Red did not like it quite like we thought. He is a dare devil in most aspects of his life but he did not want to go down that hill!

Goals I Accomplished in February:

Blogging & Social Media Goals

My numbers have grown but not the 10% like I had hoped. I did not schedule FB shares but use buffer and hoot a few times a week to share things on Twitter and FB. I have had some good reactions to these shares. I have been blogging almost everyday just to stay on top of all the reviews and blog series I have signed up for.

Homeschool Goals

Princess completed her 25th Home Depot Kids Workshop build and was awarded a pin and a certificate! We attended a Diabetes Pump meeting and Eldest is pretty sure he wants to try the Omnipod and Dexcom. We were given a trial pump but have not tried it out just yet. I told him I wanted to take pictures. Valentine’s Day party did not happen due to some attitude’s that did not need to be in public. It was a very trying morning and mommy could not deal with the possibility of more drama…

Household & Marriage Goals

We have crockpotted a few times which allowed me more time to get work done but not really sat down for a meal plan:( I think all of our taste-buds are getting burned out on the same types of food and we need a major recipe overhaul. Of course kids not wanting to eat at the same time does not help.

Personal Mommy Goals

Major fail in this department. I have not had the time to go through my closet. I did do a mental breakdown of what I had to wear in case I went to a Film Festival called ReelAbilities. With a teething tot and crazy weather I thought it was best to sit the event out this year. I do hope to attend more local blogger events but maybe Spring will be better.

I did discover Amazon Music playlists via Prime Music! All sorts of awesome themed playlists from Classical to Pop to Christian to Electric to Kid’s Songs.Join Amazon Prime – Listen to Over a Million Songs – Start Free Trial Now

Financial Goals

Hubby and I are still trying to figure out what conferences and vacation opportunities we will be pursuing. This will allow us to pitch some blog review ideas and coordinate a 3-5 day event in a big city. He has been very busy and tired with the school testing and with all the weather delays it’s been nuts.

Health & Fitness Goals

We met all of these except the indoor PE ideas but are working on trying out the new fitness bands…

We finally got a medical ID for Eldest that states he has Type 1 Diabetes and it only cost $6.  We also got to watch it while being engraved how cool is that!

We attended a Spring into Health event at Jungle Jim’s and got to try all sorts of gluten-free, non-gmo, and healthy snacks that we normally wouldn’t get to. We each brought home a bag of goodies. Then we headed into the main store and bought a variety of foods. Eldest picked out a handful of jerky from bison to alligator? Princess wanted to try Star Fruit, Sharon Fruit and Ugly Fruit. We also bought some of the snacks we had sampled during the health fair with the coupons the booths gave out.

Things I have Planned for March:

Blogging & Social Media Goals

  1. Keep blogging 4-5 times a week.

I love the Amazon music playlists! “Classical for Reading” is my favorite when I need the kids to calm down. Good luck with your goals for March!

You are ambitious! I agree that Amazon playlists are great! I like to dance along to the doo-wop 50’s playlist with my children. I’m linked up at this party, too. Connecting on G+

I really love the goal of doing a new hair style. So often I just put my hair in a ponytail and call it good. I really should work on it more.

I also like that you are working on sharing and linky. I have been so bad about linkys and I need to get better at it.

Oh I wish I could purge mend and alter more. You look like you’re having some fun goals setting too.

I m looking forward to hearing how you got on with your March goals next week. Social media is a tough nut to crack but regular sharing on FB every day is working well on my own page. I m scheduling every 3 hours and no more than once a day from my own blog.
