Give Your Marriage a Boost- Hubby’s Favorite Recipes

October 17, 2012 By Thaleia 6 Comments

Just one simple way to give your marriage a boost  is to cook or bake recipes that your husband likes. Now I’m a gal that likes to try new recipes and likes to experiment with tweaking a recipe now and again. But when I want to show my hubby how much I love him then I can cook him something he requests or I know is his favorite!

Give Your Marriage a Boost

Does your hubby have some favorite recipes? Do you know them?

Do you make them for him? How often?

A simple, yummy porkchop recipe that I got from my mother really hits the spot with my hubby and kids. (having the kids like it is a major bonus!) I make homemade mashed potatoes and open up a can or two of veggies. Sometimes I will even bake a batch of biscuits and whip up a pot of gravy as well. Depends on how sick mom and dad are of corn. Our kids love corn and would eat it every day! Hubby and I prefer to mix things up with peas, green beans, or beets!

Pineapple Pork Chop Marinade
1/2 C. Italian Salad Dressing
3 T. Soy Sauce
1/4 C. pineapple juice
2 T. Molasses or 1/2 C. brown sugar
I used the brown sugar and it was delicious!

So what will you do this week to GIVE YOUR MARRIAGE A BOOST?

Please check out these wonderful Marriage and Homemaking Link-up Parties. Very inspirational and uplifting:) Give your marriage a boost and check them out!

This is so funny because I HATE pork chops. Will NOT eat them at all. However, my hubby LOVES them. For the first 12 or so years of marriage I wouldn’t make them for him because I don’t like them. But a few years ago I wanted to do something special for him so I made him pork chops (and me chicken). He was so happy and we found out our sons also love pork chops. Now pork chops for boys and chicken for girl is something we make often. 🙂
