Gotta Love Fashionable Nursing Tops!

Gotta Love Fashionable Nursing Tops!

Nursing Top

Milk Nursingwear offer’s a nice variety of Nursing shirts, dresses, and accessories.

It was very hard to narrow my choice down to just one top to review. I knew I already owned long sleeved tops, but do not own any short sleeve tops. Since I am due in August it will be pretty hot for the first month or so after the baby is born and will need a short sleeve top. I knew I would want something fashionable for Mom’s Night Out’s, church, and any blogging or homeschool conferences we may go to. I looked at my current nursing tops for colors I already owned and styles I already owned to choose something new!

Here are my top three picks for short sleeve nursing tops from Milk Nursingwear:

Getting the correct size for your nursing top is a must! Use the sizing chart from each company/brand you are considering purchasing from to ensure a proper fit. Nothing like a too small or too large top that you will not feel comfortable in wearing!

If you are a first time mom, I would hold off on buying nursing tops until your last month of pregnancy and only IF your breasts have increased in size. If you have not seen a significant increase then WAIT until your milk comes in after delivery and then measure and purchase your nursing tops. Luckily I am pregnant with baby #4 and have breastfeed all of my children and know what my breastfeeding size is. My nursing bust has already “come in” and so I was able to measure and pick the correct size nursing top.

I choose the Side-Shirred Nursing top in purple to try. I was so exciting to receive the top on the same day my hubby received a brand new tie for review! The funny thing is they match and we had no choice in the tie color (super cool I know.) The great thing about a short sleeved top is the advantage of layering with a variety of jackets and sweaters to create a variety of different looks.

The color is just the shade I thought I was ordering which is definitely a plus. I hate ordering online and then getting a product in a shade vastly different than expected.

The fabric feels soft and luxurious. I did not want to take the shirt off but seeing the temps were going to be in the 30’s today I had to. I cannot wait to nurse my new baby in this shirt. I know I will not put this one away with my maternity clothes!

This top is very versatile and can be worn many ways with a variety of accessories. If the weather had been warmer I would definitely tried a skirt or capris! This top can be dressed up or down and is so soft. My friend  is a nursing mom of a 5 month old and so wishes she had some nursing tops!

I love the Bravado Seamless Silk Nursing Bra. I have one from my last pregnancy and will be getting a couple more before our new baby arrives. It’s comfortable, offers good support and can’t be seen under a t-shirt.
