My son gets very upset when learning just the slightest bit about slavery and the Civil War. I am very happy that he feels all people regardless of skin color should not be owned or mistreated. I know it will upset him greatly the more he learns about how cruel some people have been and can be. Nonetheless we will delve into this topic more and more each year.

I am sure that my family isn’t the only one wanting to have some free resources handy for Black History not just during February! I searched around to find some unique and easy to use resources.

Since Lil’ Red is almost 6 months it is definitely time to plan activities for his growth and curiosity. A super quick and easy activity is to make Sensory Bottles using emptied tea bottles. You could also use water bottles or something similar.
