Jesus Calling for Kids Devotional Review & Giveaway

Jesus Calling for Kids Devotional

Review & Giveaway

Jesus Calling: 365 Devotions For Kids, Sarah Young

REVIEW:

Since I had already purchased the Jesus Calling for adults last year I jumped on the chance to check out the Jesus Calling for Kids version. This version is a hardcover book that is recommended for ages 5-10. We are really out of habit for devotions and Bible reading and I thought having something similar for both mom and kids might help keep us all on track!

We love that it has a gentle voice and great ways to connect to your child’s heart. Short easy reads help to make daily readings go a little faster for little ones and are great for independent readers.

The hardcover is very sturdy and will take lots of wear before falling apart!

DESCRIPTION:

Devotions written as if Jesus is speaking directly to a child’s heart.

Based on her original Jesus Calling, this version has been adapted in a language and fashion that kids and tweens can relate to their everyday lives.

After many years of writing in her prayer journal, missionary Sarah Young decided to listen to God with pen in hand, writing down what she believed He was saying to her through Scripture. Others were blessed as she shared her writings, until people all over the world were using her devotionals.  They are written from Jesus’ point of view, thus the title Jesus Calling.  It is Sarah’s fervent prayer that our Savior may bless readers, and now young readers, with His presence and His peace in ever deeper measure.

Not sure if this would be right for your kids? Well, Tommy Nelson has an awesome preview for you to check this book out!

Book Blast & $50 Giveaway: Baked Alaska by Josi S. Kilpack

Educational Games for 2-8 Year Olds

Book Blast & $50 Giveaway:

Baked Alaska by Josi S. Kilpack

Baked Alaska

Available February 2013

An Alaskan cruise is the setting for amateur detective Sadie Hoffmiller’s latest adventure. Sadie plans to spend time relaxing with her two grown children, Breanna and Shawn, and her boyfriend, Pete, while enjoying the luxury and cuisine of an elegant cruise ship and helping to plan her daughter’s upcoming wedding. But even as the crew prepares to leave port, Sadie has suspicions about the voyage ahead and the relationship between her normally easygoing son and a mysterious female passenger he obviously knows but refuses to discuss. When the woman’s dead body is discovered during the first night at sea, Sadie’s apprehension escalates. Over the last few years, Sadie has developed an extreme dislike for secrets—and it would seem her son is keeping one from her.

Praise for Baked Alaska
Josi Kilpack has done it again. You would think that all these events that occur in Sadie’s life wouldn’t be natural, but Josi Kilpack has a way of making you believe that it just “happens” and it is normal. I have grown to love Sadie’s character, even if she is a busybody, you can’t help but cheer for her as she attempts to solve a mystery or crime. One of my favorite series. 🙂

Author Josi S. Kilpack

Josi S. Kilpack grew up hating to read until she was thirteen and her mother handed her a copy of The Witch of Blackbird Pond. From that day forward, she read everything she could get her hands on and credits her writing “education” to the many novels she has “studied” since then. She began her first novel in 1998 and hasn’t stopped since. Her seventh novel, Sheep’s Clothing, won the 2007 Whitney Award for Mystery/Suspense, and Lemon Tart, her ninth novel, was a 2009 Whitney Award Finalist. Blackberry Crumble is Josi’s thirteenth novel and the fifth book in the Sadie Hoffmiller Culinary Mystery series.

Josi currently lives in Willard, Utah, with her wonderful husband, four amazing children, one fat dog, and a varying number of very happy chickens.

UGLee Ergonomic Pen Review and Giveaway

UGLee ergonomic pen review and giveaway

REVIEW:

I am super excited to share with you the neatest ergonomic pen that I have come across.  It is called the UGlee pen and was created by Dr. Lee. The UGlee pen comes 3 to a pack and has a super comfy, squishy gel grip surrounding a majority of the barrel.  The pen just screams, “Write with me!” It is fun to hold and really fun to use. My husband tried it and liked it. My son tried it and liked it. I tried it and liked it. Good thing my daughter wasn’t home at the time or we would have been fighting over who got to use the UGlee pen next!

order your gel grip pen

I can see this being a very helpful tool for those families with reluctant writer’s. My son also mentioned that he really liked the fine tip and thought he would use it to illustrate his comics and drawings. What better way to encourage a young writer or artist then with the UGlee Pen….

Review and Giveaway- Noxicare™ Natural Pain Relief Supplements

January 16, 2013 By Thaleia 1 Comment

Review and Giveaway-

Noxicare™ Natural Pain Relief Supplements

Noxicare Pain Relief cream and Supplements

Noxicare™ Natural Pain Relief is a breakthrough natural, patented pain relief formula that is a proprietary combination of 7 of the world’s most potent natural pain relievers that quickly and effectively alleviate inflammation, muscle aches and nerve pain—with NO known side effects and without a prescription.

I had the choice to try one of 6 supplements from Noxicare’s product line (omega 3, womens once daily, once daily, B12, joint support, or antioxidant formula). I tried the Women’s Once Daily. I was very excited to try these and was surprised when I received a free t-shirt as well as the supplements. I had not been taking any sort of daily supplement for a long time. I do use herbal tea and supplements when I feel like I am coming down with something.

I will have to warn anyone who cannot swallow larger pills that these are very large. I was able to manage them and did so quite well for a week or 2. Then I noticed a weird taste on my tongue and in my mouth that would not go away. I brushed my teeth. I tried drinking soda. I tried eating something with a very distinct taste, but the taste would not go away until I stopped taking the supplements.

I will have to put a disclaimer on my review BECAUSE I found out that I am pregnant which very well may have made me more sensitive. I get morning sickness from the slightest smell. I cannot honestly say if it was the supplements or the pregnancy which attested for the taste in my mouth.

I love the fact that Noxicare Supplements are made from:

  • Food grown nutrients
  • Cultured with organic ingredients
  • Food derived enzymes
  • Contain NO sugar, salt, diary, wheat, gluten, soy, preservatives, artificial colors or flavors.

Why Take Women’s Once Daily Multi?

Ensuring an adequate intake of key nutrients is important to promoting overall health. Women have specific health concerns such as bone, heart and reproductive health. Truceuticals® brand Women’s Multi is specially formulated with key nutrients to support women’s health.

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
