Tips for Looking Your Best: Men’s Addition

As the Holiday’s get closer it’s  time to dig through your closet to find a suitable outfit for the upcoming Christmas or New Year’s party. You might want to spiff up your look without spending much money so here are a few tips to help you do just that.

Tips for Looking Your Best

Start with a nice pair of pants.

Make sure you try on your pants well BEFORE the night in question. You don’t want to realize at the last minute you’ve gained a few extra pounds and the pants you intended to wear no longer fit.

Add a well pressed dress shirt.

Double check your shirts for fit and hidden stains. Nothing like showing up to a party with pit stains. I’m just saying check your shirt out in a well-lit room to be sure nothing weird has gotten onto your shirt since the last time is was washed or worn. We have four kids so you never know what crazy stain might appear due to a new toy or art supply going through the laundry.

Be sure to pick out the right tie!

You will want to make sure your tie matches your style and sense of self. Are you bold and daring? Are you quiet and reserved? Are you more adventurous? Choose a tie to compliment your outfit and make a statement or NOT! Riley is wearing the Stratford Abstract Purple from The Dark Knot which we received for review. Other tie choices which would be equally suitable this season would be:

Check to see if your socks and shoes fit!

Nothing like having to squeeze your feet into a pair of shoes that are too tight for a few hours or having to ditch that perfect outfit last minute. You don’t want to have to start all over last minute to pick out an outfit to match a good fitting pair of shoes!

Keep yourself well-groomed

You will want to look your best with a cleanly shaved face. You can easily do this with a fresh razor and a good beard balm or shave lotion.

More about The Dark Knot:
