Watch Ya’ Mouth Throwdown Game

November 9, 2017 By Thaleia Leave a Comment

Educational Games for 2-8 Year Olds

This post is sponsored by US Family Guide and Watch Ya’ Mouth. I received a free game for review but all opinions are my own.

One of the games that we will be reviewing for our Homeschool Holiday Gift Guide with be Watch Ya’ Mouth Throwdown Edition. This is the evolution of the original, wildly popular, hilarious Watch Ya’ Mouth game. Rather than just speak phrases, players now go head-to-head with hilarious and challenging tasks – while wearing mouthpieces. Throwdown Edition takes competition – and laughter – to the next level and builds on the multi-generational gaming phenomena.

Throwdown Edition has already been Awarded Top Holiday Toy of 2017 by Toy Insider & selected for the 2017 Amazon Holiday Toy List.

Watch Ya' Mouth Throwdown Edition

We finally opened up our Watch Ya’ Mouth game and took a crack at playing it. First I have to say that even the small mouthpieces were uncomfortable for my teens. Big Red really wanted to play but his mouth is way too small. So take into consideration the size of your players mouths BEFORE trying to play this game. My husband tried on the larger mouthpiece and it fit fine but he did say that he could see how it could become uncomfortable quickly. I explained that you should be only having the mouthpiece in for a minute or 2 during a challenge.

The game cards themselves were super slippery and kept sliding all over the table so we put half the deck back into the box so we didn’t lose any cards. My younger boys loved playing with the timer and just seeing all of the game pieces that were included. Princess picked a Throwdown card that made her laugh.

I think this game would be great for adults who enjoy games like Minute to Win It or other similar time challenge games. I will probably try this game at New Year’s when we have a group of adults who have larger mouths and like crazy games. I am thinking of a couple single guys as well as a few couples that we know who would give this game a try and I know would have fun.
