4th of July Baby Art

July 3, 2014 By Thaleia 1 Comment

Just woke up and remember the star shaped post-its I have and that this week is 4th of July. Then I thought the stars combined with finger-paint would make a great baby art piece! Super simple while the big kids are at Grandma’s house.

I cannot believe that Lil’ Red is 10 1/2 months and HAS NOT done ART! Yikes, that’s so hard to comprehend. I had Eldest and Princess painting at 6 months and Big Red at 8 months. Just goes to show what happens as you have more kids and get crazy busy.

Gather your supplies:

Watercolor paper or thick painting paper
Finger Paint
Long handled Plastic Spoon
Shaped Post-it Notes
Baby sized Paint Shirt
Baby Portable Seat with Strap and Tray

Be ready with a warm wash cloth or tub of soapy water to bathe your little artist afterwards!
1. Gather ALL supplies and prep your paper with Post-it Star Shape . (affiliate link used)

2. Secure baby into seat and put on paint shirt or Sargent Children’s Smart Smock or strip baby’s shirt off. We happen to have an Ikea smock that was purchased at a garage sale by my sister!

3. Use long handled spoon to scoop out some finger paint. We just happened to have Colorations left from a long time ago!

4. Let your baby have fun smearing paint around the paper. Even though it’s not toxic I wouldn’t let him eat much of it!

Hope you grab your little one some paper and paint and have a grand time making baby art.

Happy 4th of July!

How cute and fun! Great idea to use your post-it notes in your 4th of July decorations. They can be used for so many things. Your little one is adorable T.
