H is for Henry Ford

February 24, 2015 By Thaleia Leave a Comment

This week I would like to introduce you to Alicia from Vibrant Homeschooling. She is bringing you lots of fun ideas about how her family studied H is for Henry Ford. (I actually went to the museum in Michigan when I was growing up and so wish I had pictures to share with you.)
H is for Henry Ford lesson ideas for kids

This week’s study of “H is for Henry Ford” reminded me of the fun (and learning) that can happen when we ask our kids for input and are willing to try some new ways to express knowledge.

Moses and the Plagues of Egypt Sensory Bin

February 23, 2015 By Thaleia 4 Comments

I realize that I have not blogged about specific Bible topics outside of Christmas but that is about to change. I do not want them to distance themselves from me or God any further than where they are right now. I saw an opportunity to review 7th Grade: Growing Your Faith A 30-Day Devotional by Lars Rood and was excited to see what it had to offer.

Oh, the beautiful colors of the rainbow. Spring is a great time to learn about colors and rainbows. Since Big Red has outgrown most of our busy bags it is now time that I focus on new ones for him as well as safe ones for Lil Red!

top 10 preschool rainbow busy bags

Lil Red will still put all sorts of things in his mouth but he has great and advanced fine motor skills for his age. He does not know his letters, number, or colors so those are all great places to start. He is  only 18 months so this is a great age to actively use busy bags.
