Easy Ways to EARN Your Christmas Money

October 16, 2014 By Thaleia 18 Comments

This post is the first installment of a multi-week and multi-blog SAVINGS and EARNING extravaganza all about “Putting a Little Jingle in your Pocket this Holiday Season!” My cohort in savings is none other then the lovely Becky from Franticmommy!

This week she posted: Jingle In Your Pocket (Ways to Earn Extra Money before Christmas!) Since you are reading this post you know that I am a blogger by profession which means I get free items to review and giveaway. These items can make wonderful Christmas gifts for family and friends. If you are not a blogger you can still earn Christmas money a number of ways. You could spend countless hours entering contests or giveaways and keeping your fingers crossed that you would win or you can join some programs that are a little more fun and guaranteed to payoff. I have used my affiliate links to help me earn more Christmas Gifts, too! Thank you for supporting this blog by joining any of the below mentioned programs or by tweeting or pinning! Click to share this post via Twitter: https://something2offer.com//ctt.ec/74cun

Free Resources for Book Review Bloggers

October 10, 2014 By Thaleia 3 Comments

It was recently brought to my attention that with each day a new blogger is born. Sometimes the new blogger has a support system and already knows the ropes so to speak. Others are going this whole blogging journey alone and need some tips, advice, and blogger resources. This is why I am creating a post about all the places I know of for those wanting to do book reviews. These are just a handful of the free resources I have found for book review bloggers.

With all the avid readers in the world it is quite the shame for an author to have a hard time getting a handful of reviewers. Some use large publishing companies while others rely on Facebook connections. There are even bloggers who blog about book reviews and help connect bloggers with new books!

Impromptu Fall Nature Hike

October 7, 2014 By Thaleia 9 Comments

The weather turned cold like 20 degrees cooler then the day before and the wind blew in. It’s now truly feeling like Fall. I have also noticed the leaves starting to change colors and drop. What a perfect time for a Fall Nature Hike.

I wanted to get out of the house since the sun was shining and hubby was home. Originally I wanted to go to a festival but by the time we would have gotten there less than 2 hours remained. We loaded up in the van and headed out anyways but I changed our destination to a local park with creek, nature trail, and two small playgrounds.

Frugal Herbal: Teaching Your Child Plant ID

October 6, 2014 By Thaleia Leave a Comment

Children love to take interest in what their parents are interested in whether it be video games, painting, writing, or plant identification. My middle son has made my heart come alive with his interest in plant ID. We have lots of herbal bliss in our backyard that just a few years ago were considered WEEDS!

I have been super excited to find all sorts of medicinal plants that we can use for herbal remedies right in our backyard. Boy does this save time and money! I do not have to order online or drive to a local health food store for Plantain, Dandelion, Wild Violet to name a few.

I have to admit I have planted some things out front like Yarrow, Coreopsis, and Phlox. I have been blessed by God with Evening Primrose and even a Mullein plant!
