I first became aware of Melissa & Doug a handful of years ago when Eldest or Princess were preschool age. I would keep my eye out at garage sales and mommy consignment sales just hoping to find an educational toy from Melissa & Doug.  They are high quality but also can come with a high price tag which has often been out of reach for our meager budget. Department store coupons and online sales have been a great secondary source in order for us to expand our collection.

We own some of the Lights and Sounds puzzles, the Bear Family and recently purchased the Wooden Stringing Beads set on sale for Princess (but I made her promise to share 1 entire set of letters with Lil’ Red for Preschool.)
