Thanksgiving Kids Activities- I Spy Bottle

Hoping to provide some simple inspiration with Thanksgiving kids activities that are quick and easy to put together. I started by sharing my Fall Tot Trays and Turkey Felt Finger Puppets. Now I’m gonna share a Fall I Spy Bottle. Gather a plastic bottle, some dried corn kernels, and a bunch of baubles and bits.

I have to admit that we are a very electronic driven family. We own lots of different types of electronics from video game systems to mp3 players to PC’s to the Roku 2
. We use most of them for homeschooling and I wanted to share  how we use each item.

What are Learning Sticks?

So I was perusing pinterest and found Letter pops or Letter sticks that teacher’s had made for their classrooms. These were  jumbo craft sticks with letters stuck on the end which I am going to call learning sticks. Simple, right? Most of us have foam or stickers just sitting around waiting to be used for an educational purpose!

Thoughtful Spot Weekly Blog Hop #10

Thoughtful Spot Weekly Blog HopWe are thrilled to announce that we have the pleasure of introducing you to two new co-hosts to our little old blog hop. Please help us give a warm welcome to Ironic Adventures and Me and Marie Learning. As as group we are looking forward to hosting this family friendly blog hop each week and seeing what everyone has been up to lately!

We have had a very traumatic week this week. With Halloween on Thursday night, Princess’ ballet was rescheduled for Monday night. She also had cheer practice on Tuesday and Halloween Parade on Wednesday. So three nights of the week were already booked and a little crazy before the week began.

All day Monday our dog, Jazz just was not doing very well. He could barely stand and walk. We kept him outside all day so he could potty when needed without having an accidents in the house. He did not eat all day not even a treat. We scheduled the vets appointment with heavy hearts knowing what must be done. We had a good 12 1/2 years with our very loving and loyal dog. We got to bury him at my parents house out in the country so the kids could visit every time they went to grandma’s house. Yesterday was the first time Princess and Lil’ Red went to the site. Please keep our children in your prayers as they miss their beloved dog.

Fall Family Pictures

I know I have promised to share pictures of our entire family. Here are some Fall Family Pictures we just took yesterday. Some nice group shots. Yes, planned outfits for the gorgeous weather we had. We ended up outside after the sun was hiding but still got some cute pictures. I hope you enjoy them.

Thankfully we own a camera that has a timer and we know how to use it. We would not have been able to do am impromptu photo shoot without it!
