Keep Your “new” Vehicle Looking New with Kick Mats

June 30, 2014 By Thaleia Leave a Comment

We just got our “new” van yesterday and first thing we did was install the Kyodora Kick Mats for pics, BUT I will not keep them in our “Homeschool on Wheels” because I need a product that offers pockets for storage and organization. Don’t get me wrong they are a really great product but I have my heart and mind set as to what our Chevy Venture van will do for us. The need for organization in our main family vehicle is uber important to me.

feet off seet with kyodora kickmats

With four children ranging from 10 months to 11 years old we need a huge range of activities to keep everyone contented in the car for short and long car trips. Organization is imperative for successful trips to field trips as well as grocery store. With all that being said, I would definitely recommend Kyodora Kick Mats to anyone who has a concern for keeping their vehicle upholstery clean and free from dirt and grim of little feet!

My almost 10 year old daughter was able to install the Kyodora Kick Mats without trouble. We have portable cd players with velcro straps and those take two adults to install. These Kick Mats were a total breeze to install in our minivan, but were a little tricky in the wider seat of an F150 Pickup.

I am going to offer the kick mats to my brother who’s wife and daughter ride horses and have barn muck to contend with. We will share pics of what Kyodora Kick Mats look like in an Ford F150 truck. My super sweet niece is helping model where a typical 5 year olds foot would hit on the back of the seat.

Product Details:

Whether you drive a stately sedan or a practical minivan, you deserve to have your vehicle remain in good condition for as long as possible. Of course, kids impatient from a long car ride don’t share that desire. Protect your car seats from kicking, roughhousing, eating, drinking, pet fur, mischief and other issues with Extra Large Kick Mats.

These kick mats are fitted with 2 adjustable straps – 1 to be placed over your car seat headrest and the other around the bottom portion of the seat. We have specially made these kick mats to fit most vehicles – not only are they longer and wider to provide maximum coverage, the bottom strap is custom made to be extra long for ease of fixing and adjusting – no struggling with elastic bands that barely fit your car seat or velcro straps that you can’t properly secure.

They are easy to remove and install, so a single set can be moved to protect multiple vehicles and save you money. They also fold and store easily when not needed, providing you convenience.

Don’t waste precious time and money cleaning – these kick mats are double-layered and water-resistant so not only do they protect your vehicle seat back from spills and food spatters, they are designed to be wiped clean with just a damp cloth.

Protect your investment – this product comes with a 90 Day Risk-free Money-Back Guarantee – No Questions Asked!

rainbow_bandz_review

I’ve been a “member” of Tomoson’s review team for over a year and like getting free items to try. When I saw the opportunity to review some Rainbow loom bands I knew my daughter would be excited to try them! We already own the loom from Christmas but a new pack of bands is always a fun treat. Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial.

101 Color & Sing Bible Stories Review

May 19, 2014 By Thaleia Leave a Comment

I recently joined the Tyndale Blog Network in order to review and promote more quality Christian resources. I browsed their current review selections and choose 101 Color & Sing Bible Stories by Stephen Elkin. I loved the idea of songs and coloring pages to reinforce Bible Stories. I plan to use this as part of Big Red’s Preschool Curriculum. I also plan to share with other friends who have children ages 1-5.

101 Bible Stories

I have some other books created by Stephen Elkin so I have some definite expectations for 101 Color & Sing Bible Stories. The recommended age for this book is 2-4 years old. First off I’ve got to admit I am somewhat a sucker for cute Bible story books, since our youngest two are still young enough to use and appreciate fun Bible stories. I love how the cover is sturdy and the size isn’t too big for young ones to enjoy. The 101 Color & Sing Bible Stories book is extra special since it comes with two dvd’s filled with songs and coloring pages. I think that the coloring pages help to extend the use of this Bible storybook well into the preschool years.

The coloring sheets include a key Bible verse that can be colored along with the picture—a great way to help kids memorize Bible verses! In addition to coloring pages, the CDs include 101 memorable Scripture songs that relate to the stories. The Bible song track number is referenced on the story page for easy access.

Hey Mom I’ll Start Dinner Review and Giveaway

April 9, 2014 By Thaleia 6 Comments

mom dinner 500 review

If you are anything like us, then dinner can be a real struggle at times. A struggle to plan easy and nutritious meals. A struggle to allow the kids to help. A struggle to find new recipes that the kids will eat. This problem can be solved by allowing kids to take ownership of dinner at least a couple times a week.

How do you get kids to cook dinner? How do you teach kids to cook? Simple. Use the new book “Hey Mom I’ll Start Dinner“. This book was written by a busy mom of four boys who saw the need to teach her son’s to cook. Helpful hints and tips are sprinkled throughout each recipe from “night before” to notes to parents. It’s suggested to plan an entire weekend cooking with your children to build a good basic foundation. We opted not to do this since my children do have basic skills and some previous cooking skills.

delicious chicken potpie

I will have to say that my kids are quite picking when it comes to vegetables especially mixed veggies. One likes peas, corn, and green beans but not celery, potatoes, or lima beans. One likes corn, green beans, and potatoes. Another only likes corn and raw carrots. This recipe was not a favorite of my kids, but my hubby, brother-in-law, and myself thought it was delicious. The recipe called for cream of chicken soup and we substituted cream of chicken instead. We also used frozen pre-cooked grilled chicken strips to make things easier. We felt the recipe needed some garlic salt and pepper but that’s just how we roll.

My daughter had fun making this recipe and I really wanted to showcase her personality with the above picture! She didn’t think I was crazy enough to share it with you, but I must!

Fancy Crust collage

Princess had already learned how to make the edge of a crust fancy from grandma at Christmas. She does an excellent job and has the patience for this task. I on the other hand would not be the one for this job. The potpie instructions were very thorough and easy to follow. The recipe with ingredients and full instructions are on page 9 in the Preview listed below.

God Bless Our Easter- Review

April 6, 2014 By Eldest Leave a Comment

God Bless our Easter is another great choice for Spring learning about God. It would make a great addition to an Easter basket or just general learning about God’s great love during Spring. The book itself is a semi-board book of thicker page quality.

God Bless Our Easter

Lil’ Red (soon to be changed to Big Red) really loved all the animals in the book. I loved how easy the pages were to turn and the sturdiness! I know that this book will be read over and over again to my too little book lovers!

God Bless our Easter Collage

Description:

Little ones learn to look for all God’s Easter blessings.

Preschoolers can’t help but notice all the new wonders of springtime, and God Bless Our Easter emphasizes that each blessing comes from God! Lambs, bunnies, ducklings, piglets, chicks—lots of snuggly farm animals will take your little ones through the sweet rhyming story and have them asking to read the book long after Easter is past.

The second book in the new God BlessTM series, God Bless Our Easter from the same illustrator of God Bless You and Good Night.

Features & Benefits:
