Free Spanish Resources

Your child comes to you and says, ” Mom, Can you teach me Spanish?” Of course, this is probably totally out of the blue and you may not know where to go or look.

What do you do if you do not know or speak a language fluently? Do you pay for lessons or buy a pricey program or hire a tutor? Not me. I go to the internet and library for FREE Spanish resources FIRST! We do happen to know a dear lady who is native to Hondorus and would love for her to teach my children to speak and cook.

Another friend of mine mentioned how she needed some additional resources to help her children learn Spanish. I set out to help her find some free resources to help encourage her children and their homeschool journey.

Bird Crafts and Activities for Children

I’ve got that mid-Winter nature and crafts itch. You know the one where you want to find good crafts and activities for children. Hoping to brighten up your dreary dark Winter walls with cheerful artwork and projects. Maybe it’s just me with a house that is lacking in windows and natural light!

I am hoping this provides any parent, grandparent or caregiver with a tremendous amount of bird activities to stay busy all Winter long. Do not worry if you do not know much about birds because we have you covered there as well. Check out my Free Bird Watching Resources.

Since Winter is a great time to bird watch why not at bird crafts and activities to the mix. Sure you could do snowflakes, snowmen, and the like. I’m a little sick of the cold and snow. My sister NEVER passes up the chance for something free especially something she uses everyday and would have to buy anyways. Our mom picked up some ugly freebie calendar’s from a local car supply store. I passed on it due to the size of the calendar not the ugliness. I did keep one in case hubby needed a calendar/planner for work.

What is Preschool Prep?

Do you have a young child or two who has outgrown Tot School and is ready for Preschool? Have you looked at all the free online choices during your preschool preparation? Does thinking about preschool curriculum make your head spin? Well, I know that the amount of free “Letter of the Week” and “Themed” curriculum is astounding.

I am creating the Preschool Prep series to help other moms and caregivers out! I have spent lots of time researching and planning for Preschool for Lil’ Red and I want to pass on this wealth of knowledge and resources to my readers!

I plan to share a variety of ideas and ways to prepare yourself, your environment, and your child for preschool in a multi-part series. I could create a super long and over whelming post with tons and tons of ideas, but I do not want to add frustration to your Preschool Prep situation. I want to share ideas for learning letters, numbers, colors, shapes, name recognition, character studies, etc. I will share with you very simple activities you can create yourself or some items you could look for during garage sale season. I am hoping to lessen your time and the amount of money you spend by sharing what I am doing.

Science and Nature

Take a walk around your yard, block, park, or neighborhood. Head to a nature park if you have one nearby. Be sure to take a magnifying glass or box with you to get an up close look at the new things you might find! Check with your states Department of Natural resources for free local field guides or stop by your library for resources for your area.
