My son, Big Red, who is turning 5 this month can recognize lots and lots of numbers. Lil’ Red who is only 20 months is just learning about numbers. Both boys like to read so I was very excited to find free kindle books about counting and numbers!

Since the weather is nice we will be heading to parks and nature programs but would love for the little boys to be able to learn on the go! Remember you do not have to own a Kindle device to enjoy free Kindle books! You can download the Free Kindle Reading app! Top 10 Learning Resources for Earth Day

It’s already April and time to think about learning about the Earth and celebrating all sorts of great ideas for Earth Day. Teaching even young children to take care of the Earth that we’ve been given is very important. It helps teach responsibility, builds confidence and a sense of community.

We are growing a bigger garden this year then in the past and with this comes the need for rich soil.  We are composting to help increase our soil and it’s nutrients. We drug bags of grass clippings and leaves across our alley last Summer and Fall to enrich our garden this year.

Are you like me in that you take hundreds of pictures per event but never get them printed? I absolutely love the cost savings of digital pictures but hate not having tangible photos to share with my children or friends and family that stop by for a visit. Top 10 Subscription Boxes for Kid’s

Where have I been the past three or four years? I did not even realize that subscription boxes had become all the rage until I created a spreadsheet of over 125! This list wasn’t just for kids but includes adults and pets as well as crafters and foodies. Today I want to share the top 10 choices I have found for my age of children.

These subscription boxes for kid’s are great for children in the birth to age 12 category. We have tried each and everyone from our list and love them all. My kids wish we could have a subscription to each one all the time but our budget won’t allow for that. I think these subscription boxes would make a lovely Easter present, End of School gift, or Graduating to a new grade type gift. Of course you don’t want to forget Christmas or birthday’s either.
