Free Black History Month Resources

We have not done a ton of learning in regards to Black History Month or famous African Americans but definitely intend to. My son gets very upset when learning just the slightest bit about slavery and the Civil War. I am very happy that he feels all people regardless of skin color should not be owned or mistreated. I know it will upset him greatly the more he learns about how cruel some people have been and can be. Nonetheless we will delve into this topic more and more each year.

I am sure that my family isn’t the only one wanting to have some free resources handy for Black History not just during February! I searched around to find some unique and easy to use resources.

10 Ways to Use Medicine Cups

Stop throwing away your Medicine Cups! I’ve got 10 great ways to use or re-purpose them. We all have seen medicine cups packed with children’s medicine and may have thrown them away when the medicine is over. NOT THIS GIRL! I wash them and save them for all sorts of things.

Those small but sturdy medicine cups can come in handy all over the house. We use them almost daily! I just wish we had another 10-15! I do not wish anyone would get sick, but maybe I can get some more from family and friends.

If you aren’t familiar with Google Drive do not fear. It is very simple and similar to Word. I even have some simple steps on accessing Google Drive and beginning your first journal entry!

Since Lil’ Red is almost 6 months it is definitely time to plan activities for his growth and curiosity. A super quick and easy activity is to make Sensory Bottles using emptied tea bottles. You could also use water bottles or something similar.
