February 22, 2017 By Thaleia 5 Comments

Sometimes you just need some activities to keep your little ones busy that you can prepare ahead of time. Tot Trays are just the ticket to prepared activities that will excite your toddler or preschooler.

I was on my desktop looking for some pictures when low and behold I found an entire collection of Spring Tot Trays all ready but never published. Today I will treat you to my collection of Easter and Spring activities to engage your younger learners.

COSI Columbus, OH

February 7, 2017 By Thaleia 1 Comment

As you walk up to COSI you are greeted with Science right off the bat! There are a variety of Dinosaur sculptures on the front right side of the building. Eldest took some pictures of the sculptures since there was quite the crowd outside with a special event.

It just so happened to be Farm Days at COSI during our visit. This event is held annually on the front lawn of COSI as well as many other themed events like Big Machines or EMS & Safety Days. The last Friday of the month is Family Friday Nights  when COSI stays open and offers a discount which includes a movie.

Valentine’s Day Treats Made by Kids

January 18, 2017 By Thaleia 2 Comments

Valentine’s Day may be one of the sweetest days of the year right after Halloween. Do your children love to cook as much as they enjoy a sweet treat? If so, they should try to make some of these Valentine’s Day treats. Each activity is great for older elementary to make on their own or for preschoolers to make with parental guidance.

Recylced Cork Puppet Process Art

January 16, 2017 By Thaleia Leave a Comment

We don’t drink wine but have had family and friends save corks for us to save for a rainy day project. It wasn’t rainy but dreary and cold the other day which prompted me to pull out some corks and craft supplies. I set out a divided circular tray with cork, toothpicks, small craft sticks, pipe cleaners, and pom-poms to let the kids create their own recycled cork puppet.
