Free Resources for Frog Life Cycle

May 13, 2016 By Thaleia Leave a Comment

I love Spring and Summer time and being able to get out to enjoy nature a little bit more. One thing that I also enjoy is sharing free resources to help families extend their learning. Today is all about the FROG! I have gathered up over 70 free resources to use when learning about the frog life cycle.

Free Resources Frog Life Cycle Unit Study

I start off with free frog life cycle printables, then add activities, then added crafts, book lists, and younger learner activities like busy bags, tot trays, and sensory bins. I hope your family enjoys some of these frog life cycle activities either indoors or out!

Parts of a Flower Free Resources

May 12, 2016 By Thaleia 3 Comments

May’s Kindergarten Blog Hop is here! This month our theme is Flowers. It’s been a crazy couple of weeks at our house so I decided to throw together a post for free resources for parts of the flower. You can use these free resources for any age preschool to older elementary. If your child is flower crazy like mine then you will want to make your own DIY Flower Press!

Parts of a Flower book

I printed off a 3 page worksheet that turns into a book about the parts of a flower for Big Red to color, read, and cut out. I found this free printable book from Worksheet place.

Sloan Museum Flint, MI

May 11, 2016 By Thaleia 1 Comment

This is a post created on behalf of Sloan Museum who provided us free admission for our honest review! No compensation was given and all opinions are our own.

We recently had the privilege of visiting Sloan Museum in Flint, Michigan. We were in the Flint area for a funeral and contacted Sloan Museum on our way up via Facebook. They were super responsive and very friendly. We love finding hidden gems when we travel and Sloan Museum offers just that!

sloan museum

Sloan Museum is part of the Culture Complex in Flint with an art museum, theatre, and planetarium all within walking distance. Unfortunately we didn’t have enough time to explore all of those properties.

Dominoes Sensory Bin

March 22, 2016 By Thaleia Leave a Comment

I have a tin of dominoes for each of my children that I bought at Dollar General a few years ago. I really liked the idea of the tins plus I have created some keepsake ornaments for each child. Today I am sharing with you a way to play with dominoes for your toddler or preschooler. I created a dominoes sensory bin for Lil’ Red to enjoy.
