Swimsuit Buying for Your Body Type

May 21, 2015 By Thaleia

This post contains affiliate links, and I will be compensated if you make a purchase from ModCloth after clicking on my links.

Okay, I can hear you groaning about the tedious task of finding a fashionable swimsuit that is reasonably priced and comfortable. I am sharing an infographic that ModCloth has put together to help you in your swimsuit search. Remember that swimsuit buying for your body type will not only make your life easier it will make you love the suit you choose!

It’s a pool party over at ModCloth, and you’re invited! With so many bikinis and one pieces to pick from, you’re bound to find a standout look that suits your style. And while you’re at it, check out ModCloth’s exploration of so-called “ideal” beach bodies in their new Swim-fographic! It’s an intriguing look at how arbitrarily beauty standards have changed over time. Of course, ModCloth knows that every body is a beach body — the only requirements are a beach, your bod, and a swimsuit you can’t wait to flaunt!

Why Backyard Camping is a Good Idea

June 27, 2014 By Thaleia 2 Comments

This weekend is the Great American Backyard Campout, but with the heat and humidity we may not actually do any backyard camping. If we are actually home we will put up a tent for play or bring it inside for a great humidity-free camping adventure. We did put up two different tents in our backyard but only for a day or two so we didn’t kill the grass. I actually moved the smaller play tent around everyday so the grass underneath wouldn’t be flattened and die.

First Time Catching Lightning Bugs

June 11, 2014 By Thaleia 1 Comment

I was thinking of all the fun and budget friendly Summer activities that we need to add to our bucket list and bug catching came to mind. Then a friend on facebook mentioned that Lightning Bugs are so special they need their own spot on the list. I definitely agree with her. I grew up in the country and Lightning Bugs were pretty common place. Now that we are raising four kids while being in town it’s a little harder at times to find them.

Reasons Why Staycations Are A Great Idea

June 3, 2014 By Thaleia 1 Comment

The super Summer buzzword that came to be before 2008 but was made uber popular since the recession – the STAYCATION! You will see, hear, and read it everywhere as Summer gets closer and closer. I love the idea of a vacation but with four children 11 years and younger it may not be as fun as it sounds. This is why I think I have some reasons why Staycations are a great idea that you should consider.

1. Staycations do not place an unreasonably high standard for an elaborate vacation.

Not everyone can afford a fancy, expensive vacation. Planning a vacation above your means puts stress on the whole family. This also sets an unnecessary standard that your children with grow to expect each year! Instead plan something free, cheap or local. Create memories that are easy for your children to do with their family when they grow up (stargaze, hike, go play at a park, etc). Check your state parks, county parks, and city parks for free or cheap activities. You never know you may just create a fun family tradition!
