Reasons to Harvest Dandelions

May 11, 2015 By Thaleia

Okay, I can hear some of you mumbling how crazy I must be to suggest reasons to harvest dandelions. Many people view them as weeds but in actuality they are native plants and very beneficial. Dandelions provide nutrients for free if your yard allows them to grow in a chemical free environment.

Rainy Day Activitites: Playing Jacks Indoors

May 10, 2015 By Thaleia

Isn’t an age old classic like jacks the perfect game for a rainy day? Do you remember playing jacks as a child?Have you taught any child that you know how to play? I remembered we had a large plastic set of jacks from a few years ago when we were watching an episode of Little Bear. As much as I love metal jacks they are incredibly small and very dangerous with a mouthing tot in the house. I am very glad I have a larger set although they still could pose a choking hazard with the ball so be super careful around anyone who puts objects in their mouths.

Inexpensive Way to Try Essential Oils

May 9, 2015 By Thaleia 16 Comments

Have you held off on jumping onto the Essential Oils bandwagon but now you are ready to give them a try? Maybe the cost has prevented you from making an order due to the expense. Well, I have a treat for you today. I had the pleasure of reviewing Heaven Scent Essential Oils roller bottles. These all glass roller bottles come pre-filled and diluted ready for your use right out of the package. No guessing, measuring, or stocking a bunch of essential oils that you may never use again.

Front Porch Nature Table and We Love Weekends

May 8, 2015 By Thaleia

I love nature and have claimed a small area right outside our front door as our nature table. This front porch nature table allows for my kids to collect all the nature that they want but it can stay outside. This works well with hubby’s allergies and keeping the creepy crawlies outside instead of in. I am usually the guilty one of bringing things in like the dead cricket or bumblebee but keep those items in clear plastic “observation jars”.
