Baby School- Independent Sitter Activities

April 2, 2014 By Thaleia 2 Comments

Oh, boy! Now your little one is really moving around, crawling and can sit all by himself you will need ideas to keep him occupied. What is a busy momma to do? How do you keep your baby entertained and safe at the same time?

First, crawl around the room that your baby spends most of their playtime in. Look for items that can pose a danger. Chocking hazards are anything smaller than a golf ball. Feel around for hard surfaces your baby might bump into. Our couch has a very hard area right at crawling baby head height! REACH around objects, onto stools, and see if you can pull items on top of yourself. Check for cords, power strips, short bookcases, toy boxes, etc.

My son is very inquisitive and has no problem zipping over to that ONE SPOT that wasn’t cleaned off or secured! He loves trying to wedge his head under our keyboard stool and try to get at the power-strip. He thinks that the PC mouse cables are just for his pleasure!

Once your environment is safe let’s come up with creative ways to educate and entertain your child.

Homeschool Lunch Ideas

March 30, 2014 By Thaleia 5 Comments

What? Pack a lunch you say? But you homeschool, why would you need to pack a lunch? Just because we have school at home does not mean that we are house bound all the time. We eat lunch and need lunch ideas just like everyone else. Plus we stay pretty busy with gym days, field trips, ballet practice, 4-H, and nature programs. We also want to stay fed and hydrated!

All boys and girls love drinking Fruit Shoot fruit drink!

We cannot afford to “drive-thru” each and every time we are out and about which makes packing a lunch or snack bag essential to our homeschool budget. We are a very food and taste driven family. We also love conveniences like cheese sticks, granola bars, and juice boxes! Here’s where Fruitshoot comes in handy.

The Story of Jesus – Review

March 30, 2014 By Thaleia Leave a Comment

teach about Jesus

I have to say this is the cutest little carry along book I have ever seen! I’m so impressed with the sturdiness. Baby Red will be able to play with The Story of Jesus book and I will not feel one bit guilty about it being used. I’m very particular about books and Bible’s even more so, but this little beauty is quite the treasure!

Great Ways to Save Your Sanity This Summer! (Review)

March 28, 2014 By Thaleia 2 Comments

I know, I know you are saying, “What is she doing talking about Summer? We are barely into Spring!” But I know full well how quickly Summer break will be upon us. As a mom of 4 very busy and inquisitive kids, I know I need to begin thinking and planning for a fun filled Summer NOW! Not only will Summer Camp and activities brochures begin pouring into your mailbox but registrations are often first come first served.

What do you do if you do not have the time or funds to haul your kids to every camp around? Maybe your child just isn’t one to attend group events alone. Maybe you live to far from quality programs. Well, I am here to share a wonderful ebook to help you plan your work time and play time to make this Summer awesome.

If you have read my blog for very long or follow me on facebook you know I am an ebook junkie! I love ebooks free or cheap! When I was asked to be apart of a review team for an ebook bundle I jumped at the chance.
