BB100 My section 8

Open-ended questions are probably one of the best ways to connect with your audience and grow your engagement. Why? Because it takes the focus off of you and turns it around onto your reader. Now it might seem a little strange to do that, after all, your blog is supposed to be about you and your experiences. Let me share a couple little secrets about blogging…

Blog Titles and Topics with Martiel #BB100 Day 6: Cheat Sheets & Charts

March 29, 2014 By Martiel 3 Comments

BB100 My section 6

Cheat sheets and charts are in the same area as resources and reference material in that they are a way to continuously drive traffic to your blog well after the initial posting. For example, I particularly love sites that offer charts on practical things like crochet hook sizes, basic HTML code, or the different tensile strength of various wires for beading/jewelry.

Some bloggers offer these in the form of posts where visitors can come and simply use the content directly from the page and some blogger offer it in a format where you can print it out and take it with you such as a PDF. Whatever you decide to do or however you offer it, these types of posts will surely attract visitors for a long time to come. Here are 10 topics/titles to help inspire your next post in a chart or cheat sheet format.

10 Cheat Sheet & Chart Blog Topics/Titles

  1. Crochet Hook & Knitting Needle Reference Chart

Blog Titles and Topics with Martiel #BB100 Day 4: Comparisons

March 27, 2014 By Martiel 3 Comments

BB100 My section 4

Comparison posts are one of my favorites because when you have the opportunity to take two things (maybe related or maybe not) and compare them, it can be super fun! Comparison posts are all about showing how two objects (either virtual or physical) are alike and different according to your perspective. For example, I did a comparison between two types of yarn and wrote about it. I talked about how each of the yarns felt and how each responded during a burn test; I also created a stitch block with them and even washed them. In the end, one was clearly more durable and color fast while the other was softer and natural feeling.

Now you don’t have to compare yarn, you could compare anything. Comparisons will help you continue to build up your clout as an authority in your field and in the blogosphere. So, compare-away! Here are 10 blog topics/title you can use either directly or as inspiration for your next blog post – happy comparing!

10 Comparison Blog Topics/Titles

  1. Play-Doh™ Brand vs. Homemade Play Dough: The Kid Comparison Test
  2. Facebook Ads vs. Google Ads: Getting the Most Reach for your $1
