Introducing Comforts for Baby Products

Introducing Comforts for Baby Products

comforts for baby products

I’m a big time bargain shopper and deal hunter so I was very intrigued when I got the email about Comforts for Baby promotions. I was lucky enough to get in on a Bzz Agent Campaign to review and share my thoughts and experiences with Kroger’s Comforts for Baby Products! Super excited since I have a 6 week old and a 3 year old who can benefit from these items.

I have used Comforts Wipes and possibly their diapers before but have never tried their lotion, baby wash, training pants, or bibs. I loved receiving my envelope in the mail so I could choose the products which suited my family best. I also got coupons from BzzAgent to share with friends and family (if I haven’t offered any to you just remind me ’cause I may have forgotten to whip them out to share!)

SANYO DIGITAL CAMERA

So far we have used the bibs for Baby C-4 and training pants for Lil’ Red. I love the size of the bibs. They are perfect as drooler bibs and the training pants are great for on-the-go while potty training. I will keep training pants around even after Lil’ Red is potty trained in case of the flu just to cut down on unavoidable accidents.

Yes, I was given coupons to try and review these items in exchange for my honest opinion. I was not compensated for my review from either BzzAgent or The Kroger Co. Family of Stores. So feel free to check out some Comforts for Baby products for your little one!

KIND Snacks Charity Initiative for Breast Cancer Awareness Month

What a great way to show your support to Breast Cancer patients then by participating in KIND Snacks Charity Initiative for Breast Cancer Awareness Month! KIND Healthy Snack bars are offering two great flavors as part of the limited-edition BreastBFFL Bag. Breast Cancer is very near and dear to me since my aunt died because of Breast Cancer. My mom’s best friend is a survivor of Breast Cancer. This is a great way to show a Breast Cancer patient that you care!

I have had the pleasure of trying both Pomegranate Blueberry Pistachio and Almonds & Apricots in Yogurt. I must be honest and say I found the KIND brand of snacks a few years ago and consider them a real treat. These bars are delicious. I have never found a flavor I did not like. I do have favorites, but they are all delicious. I am so glad I got to be a part of this charity initiative for Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Book Review: Desperate By Sarah Mae and Sally Clarkson

Desperate

By Sarah Mae and Sally Clarkson

Desperate

My Review:

Desperate, by Sarah Mae and Sally Clarkson, hits home just a little bit. I have never struggled with the depth of depression that Sally Mae describes, but I have definitely had days where I just want to run away or hide. Sometimes no matter how much you read and plan ahead for your child-bearing years you just are not prepared for the daily grind of motherhood. Children can stretch you and exhaust you beyond anything you could ever imagine.

This is where Desperate, by Sarah Mae and Sally Clarkson, comes into place. The book gently nudges you to find an older mentor who has “been there, done that” AND survived!  You need to find that mom mentor who will get to know your heart and encourage you and cheer you on even in your most darkest of days. Someone who shows you God’s grace and give you that extra boost via phone, email, or in person.

I agree with the book that in today’s society mother’s are expected to be and do a whole lot more than previous generations and ALONE. Yes, we may have a very supportive husband and even mother’s or mother’s-in-laws nearby, but sometimes they just do not get it like a mentor mother does.

I would definitely recommend  Desperate to ALL mother’s or mother-to-be in preparation for motherhood or to realize you truly are not alone in your journey!

Book Description:

“I just can’t be a mother today.”

These words have been whispered to God in quiet desperation by mothers who love their children to the depths of their soul, but who are struggling with how hard motherhood is.

Motherhood turns you inside out. Sometimes you feel overwhelmed by how tired you feel; the days go on and on, and you want to be a “good” mom, but you feel like a failure so much of the time. What happened to all your ideals? When did you end up feeling so…lost?

Sarah Mae and Sally Clarkson have been to the edge and back. Desperate is the story of one young mother’s trials and one experienced mentor’s priceless exhortations. Desperate is not a book about despair, nor is it a rule-laden mothering manual. It is a bouquet from a friend who has been there, reminding us that we are not alone. Sarah Mae’s unvarnished account of her own struggles mothering three feisty young children is a lesson in learning patience, loving idiosyncrasies, accepting help, and—most of all—leaning on God.

Each chapter includes a brief Bible study with journal exercises to help you find your own quiet center, and get you back into the fray soul-filled and refreshed. Written with candor, empathy, and faith, Desperate is like coffee with a trusted girlfriend; one who knows how hard being a mother can be, and how to navigate the often turbulent road.

Kicking into High Gear- Getting Back into the “Reviewers” Saddle

Kicking into High Gear-

Getting Back into the “Reviewers” Saddle

kicking it saddle

Wow, I did not realize how long I had this Everyday Matters Bible for Women sitting on my nightstand until I got an email. (Yep, one of those shame on you for NOT reviewing a product emails!) I had piled other review books on top and it had just become a part of the scenery-yikes! Not this mommy bloggers intention at all. I first want to apologize for not being more thorough and stewardly with my reviews. I feel that honesty is the best policy and until I had a chance to actually PERSONALLY use the product I did not want to review it.

With being pregnant with baby #4, homeschooling, and helping hubby prepare for college graduation I have been SWAMPED! More so then I would have ever realized was even possible. I think it all started with the first trimester all day morning sickness and tiredness. By the time I realized I was pregnant I had already signed up to review a dozen or so items. Usually these items come rolling in within a week of sign-ups and I make sure to spread out the sign-ups so reviews DO NOT STACK UP! Well, this has not been the case this year. I truly want to apologize to the companies and WAHM’s that are awaiting reviews. I have a long list of e-books to work on as well although not singed up for I would like to do as a courtesy.

I have not signed up for anything else as tempting as it may be! I have been planning my children’s school work and trying to re-arrange our home to accommodate a new little addition so my time has been divided. I felt it was best to focus on my family and growing baby C-4 instead of growing my blog and business.

So over the next week I am going to do my best to begin using and reviewing the products I have in my possession. I am learning to not stretch myself so thin and to roll with the punches as it were.

Please look forward to learning about these products:

Kids Corner Review by: Eldest and Princess

Kids Corner Review

Kids Corner is a fun and exciting way to learn about God with lizards.  Sometimes things don’t always go well for them, and sometime things turn out for the best. They always trust on God to help them through the good times and bad times.

Eldest’s Review:

Cole
My favorite character is Cole. I like him because he’s funny. He cracks jokes all the time. The most popular joke is Liz’s nick name “Elizabeth”. I like listening to Kids Corner because I am always curious to see  what the next adventure will be.
There are all kinds of crazy adventures including time travel, peer pressure, helping others, and learning to do the right thing.

Some of Eldest’s favorite Kids Corner episodes:

Princess’ Review:

My favorite character’s are Lucille and Julia because they are girls. Both show God’s love by being good friends. I like to listen to Kids Corner with my brother’s all the time. We even listen to episodes at bedtime.
