Repp Stripe Necktie

Review:

Super handsome ties at super great prices from Bows N Ties. My hubby has not bought a new tie in a very long time and when I saw this promo I knew he would enjoy trying a new tie. Some of the color descriptions were a little off putting in reading them BUT when my husband opened the package he said, “That is one sexy tie!”

The tie had a really nice feel to it and was easy to tie. The material wasn’t super slick and troublesome like satin ties. It was a great balance of texture and durability. I received the Aubergine Purple & Berry Pink Striped Tie and chose to wear a black dress shirt. Other options would be a white dress shirt with suit coat or for a more casual look khakis.

one tie two looks

I could see some of this collection of ties being a great addition to any man’s Spring Wardrobe while others would be for Summer or Fall. The colors would be great for weddings, prom, or Easter dinner. The Repp Stripe Necktie Collection by PUCCINI are a great value for the money starting just under $10.00.

Gotta Love Fashionable Nursing Tops!

Gotta Love Fashionable Nursing Tops!

Nursing Top

Milk Nursingwear offer’s a nice variety of Nursing shirts, dresses, and accessories.

It was very hard to narrow my choice down to just one top to review. I knew I already owned long sleeved tops, but do not own any short sleeve tops. Since I am due in August it will be pretty hot for the first month or so after the baby is born and will need a short sleeve top. I knew I would want something fashionable for Mom’s Night Out’s, church, and any blogging or homeschool conferences we may go to. I looked at my current nursing tops for colors I already owned and styles I already owned to choose something new!

Potty Training On the Go!

March 11, 2013 By Thaleia Leave a Comment

Potty Training On the Go!

potty training on the go

Do you hear the familiar “Mommy, I gotta go potty?” every time you are in a store? Encouraging your little one to go potty can be a daunting task when the facilities are not up to your cleanliness standards. Potty training is a fact of life. So what do you do?

Well, I have come up with some options for you. Please do not laugh but they are the ones I could think of off the top of my head. We have not had to potty train anyone is over 5 years.

These are your three options:

1. Leave your potty training child home until potty trained. Not likely unless you have a  full-time nanny or live in grandparent!

2. Pack a small potty in your car and try to set your child on it each and every time you arrive at your destination. Drag the potty with you which is fine if you are at grandma’s, visiting friends, a park,or at church. Not very practical at the grocery store or in the snow or rain unless you are driving a 12 passenger or 15 passenger van!

3. Use a potty cover. Never heard of them? Well, it is very similar to the adult paper potty covers, BUT they include a longer front and sides to help protect your little ones legs and hands from touching the potty! Super great invention for busy families on the go that are concerned about sanitation. These potty covers are not wimpy or easily torn.

Potty Cover paper potty cover

I have a potty cover packed in my purse and the rest will be packed in our 72 hr. kits or on-the-go field trip bag. (Just not sure if we are ready for the potty seat in the back of the van since it will require a major overhaul of the “trunk” area contents.) Potty Cover’s are a great idea. My son wants to hold onto the toilet seat or try to stand up and pee. He is not quite tall enough but the day will come when he is. Potty Cover’s will help keep the germs done and the potty experiences more pleasant.

Description:

PottyCover is a disposable toilet seat cover for children that covers the sides and the front of the toilet, to keep away germs at public rest-rooms.  It is made of non-woven fabric coated with a layer of plastic, creating a waterproof barrier between the toilet and the child. This product has the largest coverage of all seat covers on the market and for added convenience, each seat cover is individually packaged in a small, easy to open bag that makes it super easy to always keep one or two in a purse or a back pocket.

Using a public rest-room with a young child could be very stressful, but with PottyCovers the whole family can feel safe knowing that even at the filthiest bathrooms they will be protected from germs. We designed this product for kids, but it has become a must-have travel item for many of our adult customers.

Juppy Baby Walker Review

Juppy Baby Walker Review

Juppy Momentum

Review:

So glad that I found a super sweet mom and daughter duo to give The Juppy Momentum a try. This little girl is almost 8 months old and is used to being in a toy that allows for standing and walking practice. She was ready to try and take off as soon as her feet hit the floor. Mom thought is was very neat and well made. She said she was wondering if her almost 11 year old son would be able to try this out as well. I sent The Juppy Momentum home with this family for them to use some more. Both baby and mom were very pleased with this item. You can see grins on both mom and daughter’s face.

“Very sturdy and well constructed product. Super compact and portable. Great to take to church, mom’s group, or homeschool group.”

Product Description:

The Juppy “Momentum” is a solution to a previously recognized but unsolved challenge for parents of babies beginning to walk. Babies strong enough to begin walking but not strong enough to walk alone. The Juppy builds confidence in your baby and teaches balance while you maintain your natural posture, eliminating the grueling task of hunching over while teaching your baby to walk. The Juppy has easily adjustable straps that accommodate your height whether you are 4’11” or 6’11”. The Juppy comes standard with soft hand grips that are strategically placed to provide optimum benefit for your hands; a color matched state of the art zipper is located at the rear of The Juppy for the purpose of safety, easy access and exit. You will find two Velcro straps that overlap the back zipper which again shows our commitment to providing you the safest and most practical baby walker on the market. Unlike traditional baby walkers The Juppy is a parent assisted baby walker which eliminates all of the dangers of walkers with wheels. The unique design eliminates the problems associated with similar products for example other parent assisted walkers do not have the crotch piece which is essential in keeping your baby from involuntarily lifting its arms. No more falling down stairs or reaching for dangerous objects because The Juppy requires your assistance at all times- One size fits all (baby weight not to exceed 35lbs). Made from 100% cotton that is machine washable.

We are biting the bullet and trying MagicJack Plus

February 18, 2013 By Thaleia Leave a Comment

We are biting the bullet and

trying Magic Jack Plus!

magicJack PLUS™ VoIP Phone Adapter

November 23-We have not had a house phone for quite a few years. We feel that it is time once again to have the convenience of a home phone for faxing. We helped set up our non-techie friends over a year ago with MagicJack Plus and they have had great success.

When I saw the Black Friday deals offered MagicJack Plus at Radio Shack for $20 off I figured it was as good a time as any. I read mixed reviews on Amazon and agreed with many that suggested buying from a store locally for better customer service.

Anxiously waiting for my husband to get off work and come home and hook us up with a phone! Kinda excited to be able to have a house phone again. One that will be able to be used by non-cell phone carrying relatives who come to watch our children. For our children to use to call there friends and not have to wait till the weekends. I know Princess will be glad to call her friend who no longer lives across the street every other day instead of once or twice a week.

I will be adding to this post a review after MagicJack Plus is installed and up and running. Will be calling locally and across the country just to check it out! If I’ve got your number, then I may be giving you a ring!

“So how do you like the Magic Jack plus?”

This got published BEFORE I could add our children’s comments! So far we have not had any major problems with Magic Jack. It is installed using our Brother All-in-One printer/copier/fax machine. We do not own any other working phones in the house that have caller ID or an answering machine. We will need to get a portable phone set with multiple hand sets to try and see if Magic Jack performs well across the house.
