Marblehead Lighthouse Marblehead, OH

July 15, 2016 By Thaleia 4 Comments

Right along the shores of Lake Erie you can find the Marblehead Lighthouse. It is open most days from 10 am to 4 pm which is very important to know. It costs $2 per person to walk the 77 steps up to the top and take a look across the lake.

Marblehead Lighthouse

When you go on a road trip with kids it very important to make pit stops and get a chance to burn some energy! The large rocks near the edge of Lake Erie gave the kids just such an opportunity! We made sure to keep a close eye on them as the jumped from rock to rock or just ran around in the grass.

Western Style BBQ At Frisch’s Big Boy

July 10, 2016 By Thaleia 8 Comments

Today’s post is sponsored by Frisch’s® Big Boy® and I was compensated for this post but all opinions are my own.

I was lucky enough to attend an exclusive sneak peak of Frisch’s® Big Boy® Western Primetime™  Sandwiches. It was so worth the 2 hour drive to the Covington, Kentucky store. We got a brief introduction to the prototype store which included everything from how you are greeted to what the employees wear to new design touches within the store. I am so excited to share all of these details with you.

Huggies Little Movers Diapers Keep My Little Guy Active

June 25, 2016 By Thaleia Leave a Comment

It’s Summer time and at our house that means lots of time outdoors and more days at grandma’s house. Lil’ Red loves to keep up with the bigger kids and neighborhood kids.  He is not potty trained yet so we are thankful to promote Huggie Little Movers Diapers to keep Lil’ Red going.

Minecraft on a BIG Screen via Super League Gaming

May 31, 2016 By Thaleia Leave a Comment

This is a sponsored post on behalf of US Family Guide and Super League Gaming. I was given tickets to facilitate a review but all opinions are my own.

Do your kids love playing Minecraft? Have they ever played on a move theater sized screen before? Now they can with Super League Gaming! Since 3 of our 4 children play Minecraft I figured it would be worth the hour drive to attend a Super League Gaming event.

Minecraft on a BIG Screen via Super League Gaming

This event is held on Saturday mornings beginning at 10 am or so before the movie theater is open for actual movie times. This makes it very nice and not very crowded. We got front row parking without any problem.

Since we were coming from so far away we tried to pack anything that we could think of needing like diapers, snacks and change of clothes for Lil’ Red, enough insulin for Eldest, cordless mice, laptops, and even wooden boards as makeshift desktops!

We checked in right away so we could get all set-up before the event officially started. There were some glitches to getting online at the beginning of the game. This caused some frustration for Eldest and Princess.

Once things got rolling it was hard to figure out and play by the Super League Gaming rules. I think in part that was due to mom and dad not taking more time to watch the instruction videos ahead of time and being sure that both Eldest and Princess understood them. They play Minecraft frequently but with all the different mini games within Minecraft it can be difficult to adjust to certain rules or game types.

Overall both Eldest and Princess had a good time being able to play on a BIG screen!
